Mare Pescheria Con Cucina In Roma

Really fresh raw fish, shellfish and oysters.

We were walking with my husband through the shops on Saturday afternoon and we found ourselves in this street, we saw the MARE restaurant as it was dinner time and we said let's try what it's like here... and it was a very good choice!!! The staff were very kind and friendly. Excellent cuisine: the two gran crudo appetizers were the best, delicious as were the mussel souté, the oysters, the tagliatelle, the fried calamari and the octopus. I generally never take dessert but that evening I wanted it, the choice was between tiramisu and chocolate cheesecake, I would have opted for tiramisu because I don't like cheesecake regardless but I wanted to try it and I devoured it... excellent too that!!! I recommend it wholeheartedly.

I was here on Thursday evening: I arrived at 9.15pm, I asked if I could have dinner and I was greeted with a friendly smile. I ordered a mixed salad which was really mixed (different varieties of salads, carrots, olives, cucumbers) as well as plentiful at a cost of €4, a fried calamari (€12) and a portion of chips (€4). With water I reached €22. A place that doesn't charge for service (even though it was great service) and where the food is quality at very affordable prices. Super super recommended!

Fresh fish and for those who eat raw it is a fundamental requirement 👍😜

Kind and knowledgeable owner, excellent food and maximum friendliness and kindness. The two of us took: Hot starter for 2 Spaghetti with lupins X2 1 fried calamari and prawns 2 glasses of good white wine 1 water 1 grappa €90 Very rich and unique wine and grappa list

The place was awesome. The only reason I have a 4 is that the food wasn’t definitely a 5. I’m not a person who regularly eats fish, but their risotto with shrimp was really good, the wine was absolutely amazing. There was also fried octopus which was too salty and I also saw that shrimps weren’t cleaned perfectly. But in the end there was a really cheerful Italian men giving me options for different wines and telling me his recommendations and general atmosphere of the restaurant was just so lovely. If you’re into seafood and want to have a good night, you can’t miss this place. Photos of the bill and the food is attached below.

Comfortable atmosphere, excellent food, beautiful wine cellar. Great attention to the customer, a truly great place to spend a pleasant evening. Highly recommended

I have known them for years, they are kind and attentive to every need, the fish is always fresh and caught the night before. It is a warm and familiar environment. Fantastic and delicious!!!

You pay for quality but not even that much at sea, everything was excellent, especially the service and the very nice chef 😉 I will be back
