The only restaurant in Turin where you can truly eat absolutely fresh fish (whether poor or fine)... impeccably and professionally prepared!!! The staff is very attentive to customer service, and you can immediately tell that they do this job out of passion. The dining rooms are charming, and the kitchen staff not only knows how to choose the right products to offer on their menu, but also knows how to work with and showcase those same products!!! I took my mom to Mare Nostrum last night, on the recommendation of a very reliable acquaintance, who's not a quick giver of praise. We had nothing to celebrate, but my expectations were high, at least equal to my love for my mom. Well, we immersed ourselves in the value of eating out in the olden days: indulging in little and truly rewarding yourself! Finally, a simple and discreet welcome at the table (and we certainly didn't have the two-faced, splurging crowd), no grimaces over the choice of dishes (we didn't order wine, just a tasting menu plus one dish, and no false advice to add more and then waste but spend), in fact, the advice to add more later. I even looked around as soon as I smelled something extraordinary about this place: service perfectly in tune with the frequency and willingness to engage with each customer, precise knowledge of the dishes, impeccable timing (we were finished by 10:30 pm), no noise, just a focus on providing a pleasant evening without pretence. Emiliano and Fabio, our waiters, truly pampered us with their presence. The wonderful historic setting and the seafood ingredients remind me of myself on a motorboat, with the breeze, the wind, and the salty droplets of the sea in my face... unbelievable! Not to be missed! There's hardly a place like it anymore.

Serata in famiglia, ottima cena, pesce fantastico, dessert allo zabaione imperdibile ma nella saletta entrando a destra non c'è insonorizzazione e non siamo riusciti a parlarci durante la cena e a malapena abbiamo capivamo la cameriera (non gentilissima) . Peccato perché basterebbero degli elementi insonorizzanti : esistono quadri fonoassorbenti per le pareti, tende, tappeti, addirittura vernici ! Comunque il ristorante rimane eccellente e torneremo sicuramente, piuttosto con i tappi alle orecchie :-)))
