Mangio In Roma

This restaurant deserves more exposure! On our last day of our trip, we were looking for something to eat near our Airbnb and found MANGIO, and it was a wonderful way to end our trip on a high note. We received EXCELLENT service from Antônio and Anika, both very kind and with a wonderful energy. We were impressed by their professionalism and charisma. This alone says a lot about the place and significantly changes the restaurant experience. We ordered appetizers, drinks, and pasta dishes, and everything was wonderful, tasty, and in good quantities. It was a great experience. Thank you, Antônio and Anika.

I was warmly welcomed by the staff. The waiter, Antonio, seeing my hesitation between a first course or a second course during my lunch break, suggested a delicious pappardella with guanciale (crispy to perfection), Stigliano pistachios, and Piave cheese. The homemade pasta was exceptional, and the portion was generous but just the right amount. I highly recommend it; next time I'll try the croaker. 😀

We decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews. The place is cute and the service is really friendly. The wine list focuses on some local labels, but honestly, overall, it's not very satisfying. Very good value for money.

Good, friendly, authentic food. The peperone crusco is not only delicious (and certainly not cheap) but also a rare experience in Rome. Recommended.

What a wonderful discovery! Wandering around Pigneto, we stumbled upon this Lucanian restaurant, which offers traditional and innovative dishes from Basilicata and beyond. The place is charming, well-decorated, and clean, and the background music (purely Italian) is pleasant and low, not interfering with conversations at the table. The waiters are very kind, professional, friendly, and helpful, but not intrusive: they also have an excellent knowledge of the menu, carefully explaining the characteristics of the dishes. The food is truly excellent: we ordered fava bean puree with chicory, asparagus tartlet, cruschi peppers, and cream cheese, tuna tartare with béarnaise sauce, salad, capers, and cherry tomatoes, and beef tartare with cruschi pepper cream and dried dates. To finish, we ordered the house tiramisu, which was delicious. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious, no complaints there. The prices are fair: the two of us paid €60 total, including tip. A great find, we'll be happy to return.
