Mangiafuoco In Grottaferrata

I've been going for years, for lunch or dinner, and I've always eaten (and drank) very well, spoiled for choice because each dish is better than the next. The place is very nice and warm. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Delightful little restaurant located in Grottaferrata not far from the main street. Not far away there is also a small but convenient paid car park due to blue lines. The Location has two rooms: a larger one and a smaller but very pleasant one. The atmosphere is rustic but charming. The service was courteous, kind, helpful. Attractive menu: the starters are varied and all inviting; I must also say that the grilled second courses are also notable because the restaurant is called "Eat fire"; lastly I would put the first ones which in my opinion are less interesting even if we took two of them. I must point out the truly visionary fried pizzelle with anchovies and chicory; the Mangiafuoco barbecue is spectacular; and finally the grilled ice cream made from a chocolate sphere filled with ice cream with black cherry inside: here we have reached the pinnacle of the tasting. Quality products treated very well. Fried artichokes placed on pasta are heavenly. Excellent quality and price ratio. Then the nice thing is that you go out and to work off the calories you take a walk through the center of Grottaferrata up to the Basilica of San Nilo which is worth seeing. Beautiful day, sunny and clean air. What more could you want from life!

Delizioso ristorantino sito a Grottaferrata non lontano dal corso principale. Poco distante anche un piccolo ma comodo parcheggio a pagamento causa strisce blu. La Location presenta due sale: una più grande e una più piccolina ma molto gradevole. L'ambiente è rustico ma grazioso. Il servizio cortese, gentile, disponibile. Menù accattivante: gli antipasti sono svariati e tutti invitanti; anche I secondi alla brace devo dire che sono notevoli anche perché il ristorante si chiama "Mangia fuoco" ; per ultimi metterei I primi secondo me meno interessanti anche se noi ne abbiamo presi due. Devo segnalare le pizzelle fritte con alici e puntarelle davvero visionarie; la grigliata Mangiafuoco è spettacolare ; e infine il gelato alla brace fatto da una sfera di cioccolato ripiena di gelato con all'interno amarena: qui abbiamo raggiunto l'apice della degustazione. Prodotti di qualità trattati benissimo. I carciofi fritti messi sulla pasta sono paradisiaci. Rapporto qualità e prezzo ottimale. Poi la cosa bella è che esci e per smaltire le calorie fai due passi per il centro di Grottaferrata fino alla Basilica di San Nilo che vale la pena vedere. Giornata bella, soleggiata e aria pulita. Cosa desiderare di più dalla vita!

Excellent for meat. For the first courses I tasted venison ravioli with Cesenatico reduction. Spectacular. The carpaccio is also good. Like everyone else in Grottaferrata, prices are proportionate to the price but above all to the quality of the products

We stopped for a quick lunch on a Sunday out of town. Good quality of raw materials but prices slightly above average also for the type of restaurant. Service to improve. I didn't like the absolutely unhygienic "lace" tablecloths and the cutlery brought directly to the waiter's hand

Ci si sente sempre a casa, ma la qualità è altissima! Ci vengo almeno un paio di volte al mese ed è sempre tutto impeccabile! Consigliato!

Siamo stati a questo locale venerdì 1/11/2024 (io ed un amico) Eravamo in auto in viaggio da tempo e intedevamo fermarci ad un buon posto che abbiamo scelto cercando su Internet. Il tentativo di prenotare un tavolo telefonicamente non è andato a buon fine in quanto ci è stato riferito che il locale era già pieno, ci è stato consigliato di provare a vedere se era possibile ottenere una sistemazione, quando saremo giunti sul posto. Siamo arrivati alle ore 14:15 e abbiamo atteso solo cinque minuti per avere il nostro tavolo, tra l'altro in ottima posizione. Abbiamo degustato bucce di patate, fritte e bagnate nel miele (servite dalla casa), primo cacio e pepe x 2, primo tagliatelle ai funghi porcini x 2, abbacchio a scottadito x 2, funghi porcini alla brace x 1, patata alle brace, olio, rosmarino e sale x 1. Da bere: UNA BOTTIGLIA, VINEA DOMINI ROMA - Rosso dei Castelli. A fine pasto abbiamo ordinato anche il dolce, "sfera cioccolata e vaniglia con interno d’amarena , liquore all’arancia , messo su in brace a far scaldare" x 2. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, i camerieri rapidi ed efficienti, tutti, in particolare Marco che salutiamo, ovvio, come anche gli altri. Tutto quanto elencato assolutamente squisito! Non vedo l'ora di tornare! Siamo rimasti più che soddisfatti e parlando successivamente con amici, e non solo di Roma, abbiamo scoperto che il posto era a loro, ben conosciuto! Unico nota, il conto che abbiamo trovato leggermente, dico leggermente 'salato', tuttavia ciò non ha accesso in noi nessun eccessivo risentimento infatti abbiamo lasciato anche una buona mancia. Consigliamo semplicemente di ritoccare lievemente al ribasso o di applicare un piccolo sconto della casa, in questo modo il ristorante diverrebbe LA PERFEZIONE ASSOLUTA E PASSEREBBE DI DIRITTO A CINQUE STELLE PIENE. Una chiusura di spirito, non approfittate che quando uno esce dal locale non pensa altro che a tornare per non prendere buona nota di questo consiglio!
