Small but very welcoming, the staff is professional, knowledgeable, and extremely kind. We were two families there, and they made even the youngest feel at home. Delicious appetizers and excellent ramen...we'll definitely be back 💯

A little slice of Tokyo in the Ostiense neighborhood, a truly welcoming place and staff. We tried exquisite ramen and Gohanmono, and the appetizers and dessert were just as good as the main courses. Definitely worth a try.

I'll definitely be back. The ramen is good (they also have half portions), the pork bao is spectacular, the dumplings are excellent (I had the pork ones), the fried potato and pork balls are good, but I wouldn't go back to try other dishes! Some ramen is left with very few ingredients (check the list because I added a sauce on the side and fresh spring onions... €1 for the soy sauce, etc., seemed too much to me). The only downside is that the price is higher than the average for other good ramen places in the area.

One of the best and most unique ramen I've ever tried, made with oat milk. They also offer classic ramen and excellent appetizers. The decor and service are excellent. However, since it's small and intimate, reservations are required.

In my opinion, this is one of the best ramen places in Rome, if not the best. The owners are very kind, and the place is very beautiful. The only flaw: since last time, they've probably added one more table than usual in the already small space.

The ramen at MamaYa is spectacular. The dining room is small (reservations are recommended), like in traditional Japanese restaurants, but elegant and well-maintained. The open kitchen is a nice touch. The staff is polite, and Mariana (the owner) is adorable. Traditional ramen and many other delicious dishes (and drinks). Highly recommended!

17/02/2026: I returned after a year for Valentine's Day, obviously booking well in advance. The venue is top-notch, both from the elegant lighting and the impeccable service. A perfect combination for a dinner with quality products and a wonderfully intimate atmosphere. Having been there in the past, I know they have excellent menu choices with many refined products to create explosions of flavor in your mouth. I must admit, however, that they were a little slow, but nothing too serious. Perhaps it's because the menu was only for Valentine's Day, and managing a new menu in just one day isn't easy, but it doesn't matter. The dishes are all very well-balanced, ensuring you'll be satisfied by the end of the evening (the desserts were so good I couldn't photograph them). From the welcome to the dessert, it's an exceptional and very special journey. The products are truly top-quality, and you'll understand it from the first taste. I see so much potential in them and hope they can realize this and perhaps open a larger, yet still very intimate, venue later on.
