Mama Sea Ristorante In Aci castello

I was in Catania for work. For the first time I had dinner at Mamasea and I had a great time, or opted for an excellent pizza and dessert, very professional staff, well done Angelo! I hope to return soon to taste their seafood specialties. 👏

Pizzeria Cozy and elegant restaurant overlooking the sea. Good pizza.

We had dinner here twice in a row when staying at a nearby hotel. Both times we went for pizza. The menu offers a wide selection of other dishes as well, specializing in seafood and fish, but the pizzas caught our attention. Many of the pizzas have quite creative and unique topping combinations that I haven’t seen elsewhere and that show culinary innovativeness. All the pizzas we had were delicious and came with excellent, fresh ingredients and a stand-out airy and light dough. My highlight was the Cetara pizza (fior di latte mozzarella, Cetara anchovies, semi-dry datterino tomatoes, EVO oil, capers, chilli pepper filaments, lemon peel), where the different elements harmonized well flavor- and texture-wise and which had overall also a strong visual appeal. This was definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had, including in different places in Italy, and the pizzaolo(s) are certainly to be commended and praised. We also had the cannoli siciliani for dessert the first evening we went and didn’t regret our choice. The service is not overly friendly but does their job professionally, so no complaints in that department and we were seated right away.

I was so amazed by the super delicious Sea Urchin Spaghetti! Definitely the best I’ve ever had! My husband had the Spaghetti Vongole, which I forgot to take a photo but was also very delicious! The vongole tastes so much better than the normal ones.

We had dinner at Mama Sea and really enjoyed our evening. The food was tasty, the service was good and very friendly, and the restaurant offers a beautiful view of the sea. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a lovely place to spend an evening. However, the prices are a bit high compared to the quality of the dishes. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but the value for money could be slightly better.

I had the prawn pasta it was great.

A great spot on the beach with wonderful service and superb food. We got there a little early and they still served us; very impressive.
