We've been regular visitors to this Malga for many years, both in summer and winter. The management changed in the summer of 2025, and it's immediately apparent that significant investments have been made – especially in the dining area and restrooms.
We were last here on January 17th. The new, young team is exceptionally friendly, motivated, and clearly passionate about what they do. The owners come from a farm in Mozzecane and specialize in raising and processing Black Angus beef. The menu, which consistently utilizes the entire animal, is presented with corresponding pride and transparency. You can clearly sense their respect and appreciation for the animals.
The "Mr. Beefy" shop, specializing in high-quality steaks, also originated from this Black Angus farm.
We felt completely at ease; the warm atmosphere and the harmonious teamwork are particularly noteworthy. The goulash was exceptionally tender and outstanding in flavor – truly amazing.
Be sure to try the homemade cakes. The apple cake was divine.
One final suggestion: A typical vegetarian alpine dish like Canederli or gnocchi would perfectly complement the menu, not only for vegetarians but also for those with a taste for nostalgia.
We'd love to come back again.

I came for lunch with friends. We ordered several courses to sample their entire menu, which is predominantly Angus beef. All the dishes were excellent, from the platter to the lasagna, rosti, goulash, and I recommend their homemade desserts. The setting is in a stunning location overlooking the lake. I highly recommend this experience.

We went for lunch yesterday, intrigued by the new management, and I must admit we were all very satisfied! The atmosphere was refined and welcoming. The food was excellent, from tripe to desserts. The charcuterie and cheese platter was truly delicious! The prices may be a little high, but it's definitely worth it. Congratulations to the new guys who have embarked on this new adventure, which I imagine won't be easy! See you soon!

The mountain hut is in a beautiful location and perfectly renovated, but the menu could be improved. The portions are small for the price, and the staff is very young and probably still needs to get up to speed.

A mountain hut with a lake view, and a kitchen serving Angus beef raised by their own professional farmers.
The Angus arrosticini were very good, but I was a bit disappointed with the burger: one side was undercooked and the meat inside was a bit rare, which is best avoided with dishes based on minced or ground beef. A small mistake. Perhaps I would have added a few more fries, given the price of the dish, and I would have also appreciated a light toasted bread.
A nice place, worth a visit.

A very beautiful hut, in a dream location on the southern slopes of Monte Baldo with a view of the lake. Recently renovated: rustic outside and inside without feeling overdone. The food and drink selection is decent for a hut of this category. They could offer more vegetarian dishes. But they do offer cakes, espressos, cappuccinos, and spritzers. A very friendly and dedicated host and chef. You can reach the Malga via a narrow, winding road (with potholes!) from Prada (past Malga Traure), or on foot from Prada, or down from the mountain, for example, from the mid-station of the chairlift.
