Majer In Venezia

It's a lovely place, with excellent bakery products and excellent service. We came for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed it.

good food, loved my first waiter but hated my second my first waiter was an easy 5/5 stars. it was a long haired dark skinned man and he worked the tables like a soldier. super attentive and nice. that guy is a walking michelin star second guy, short haired older white guy who came in to get my bill, was pretty rude. my creme brulee's burnt sugar was really chewy and thick, i told him "the sugar layer didn't crack, it's really soft and chewy" the guy said, "it's sugar on top." i repeated it and he just said again, "it's sugar on top." he didn't even show me my bill he just gave me the card scanner with the total number already on it. i don't know maybe this guy doesn't speak english? anyways this guy is an easy 0/5 stars. i told the first guy about the creme brulee problem and he was super sweet and gave a long apology. king. this guy is carrying the restaurant. i still consider Majer a tourist food place and not a real local's place. but if you're in venice surrounded by touristy food anyways this is actually pretty good. scallops were creamy. the seafood in the ragu tasted super fresh. the creme brulee though was sooo bad. the patissier and the second waiter dropped the ball. however, if you are lucky to have the waiter that i had, you're going to get michelin-star level service, which is worth the price. heartbroken i have to leave a 3 star but hope they improve. so much potential.

EXCEPTIONAL! We tried it at every hour: breakfast, lunch/dinner, and dinner/supper (French-Belgian translation). The coffee and pastries are excellent, to be enjoyed by the water or to go. The sourdough bread is to die for. Lunch with generously garnished and tasty pizzas, with a varied and high-quality selection. And what can I say about dinner? Exceptional. We chose this restaurant for our wedding anniversary on the recommendation of our landlady, and it was perfect. Extremely well-executed dishes, high-quality products prepared in an original way, impeccable and pleasant service, and perfectly tailored wine recommendations (without going for the most expensive). Our best culinary experience in the region! It's well worth the price (€160 for two, including the total price from aperitif to dessert, with a glass of wine to match each course. The same price as a trattoria nearby that absolutely didn't offer the same service). Go for it!

Brilliant place. Fine dining level of cooking, laid back atmosphere, nice interior and great service. 100% worth a visit. During the day the place is also the best bakery in town.

The girls were very attentive and professional. The desserts were wonderful.
