I'm not celiac, my girlfriend is, and we sometimes come here for a snack, both sweet and savory. As a non-celiac, I can say the products are delicious, and my girlfriend finds it a real treat every time we come. The complaints about the service I've read below are pointless. :)

Nice selection of genuine quality products, medium/high prices. If there are people, the service is a bit lacking... but it's not a shortcoming.

A GLUTEN-FREE OASIS
In Busnago, among the usual bars and cafes, lies Mais, a daring pastry shop. Its promise? Completely gluten-free products, dedicated to those who usually have to forgo the pleasure of a morning croissant. This alone deserves applause; finding places that embrace this philosophy is still rare, and here the courage is evident.
A small disclaimer: I'm not gluten intolerant, but I wanted to try it out of curiosity.
THE AMBIENCE: LIGHT AND ORDER (AT LEAST THE FURNISHINGS)
As soon as you enter, the atmosphere welcomes you with a touch of elegance: a bright space, thoughtful furnishings, and cleverly arranged tables that invite you to linger and enjoy your break. The display cases are thoughtfully arranged: pastries, cakes, gelato, brioches, pizzas... each in its own "treasure island." There's no chance of choosing the wrong counter. A promising calling card.
BRIOCHE, DISPLAY-BRIGHT BEAUTY, MUTE FLAVOR
Here they are, the stars of the show: gluten-free brioches, one plain and one with cream. Aesthetically stunning, they seem to have come straight from a food design magazine, but then comes the tasting... and that's where the magic fades a bit. Not bad, mind you, but the magic remains more in the eyes than on the palate. It must be said, however, that the target audience—those with intolerances and celiac disease—will be able to forgive the slight lack of "wow" when biting into them.
CAPPUCCINO: LUKEWARM ENTHUSIASM
And the cappuccinos? Served correctly, but without that spark that makes them memorable. Not very warm, no decorations, not even a dusting of cocoa or cinnamon. A detail that, in itself, doesn't ruin breakfast, but leaves the feeling of a missed opportunity.
ORGANIZATION: NEEDS A DIRECTOR
Behind the counter, the staff seem to be engaged in an improvised choreography, mingling, overlapping, creating a mini-confusion that slows everything down. From here, there's a line at the register even when there's no crowd. A shame, because a little direction would be enough to make everything run like clockwork.
NO WELCOME
The service is there, but there's no smile, no gesture, no phrase that transforms a customer into a guest; it feels more like an assembly line than an artisanal pastry shop. A shame, because here, the uniqueness of the product deserves to be accompanied by a warm and personal experience.
THE FINAL BILL
Two cappuccinos and two croissants: €6.70. Price in line with the market and justified by the "gluten-free" offer. But the real added value remains the idea: offering those with dietary restrictions a place where they can feel normal.
VERDICT: THREE STARS
Mais is good news for celiacs and those looking for gluten-free options. It stands out for its uniqueness, but less so for its taste and service. But with a few small improvements, it could become a true benchmark.

A place that certainly doesn't go unnoticed, given its reputation for being gluten-free. And with that, I'd say I've already covered the main point.
Everything they offer is gluten-free, and I assure you, you'd be amazed. When I'm in Brianza, I often go for breakfast. The brioches and pastries are truly excellent, as are the muffins and tarts; the pastries similar to mini margherita cakes are a bit drier. The gelato and parfait corner is also really beautiful and well-stocked, and the cakes are excellent (I tried the pistachio and 3-chocolate ones). As for the savory options, between focaccias, pizzas, and pretzels, I'd say you're spoiled for choice. The place is also very beautiful and well-kept, with a bit of an industrial feel. The staff is very friendly.
Highly recommended.
