We left Rome just to be able to sit at their table. An incredible experience that is renewed with every course. We left really excited!

It was recommended to me... and never was the advice so spot on. Small, very elegant and refined restaurant in the center of San Miniato. Everything was above my expectations....food that involved all the senses, the chef very good at explaining his dishes and all the staff truly at the top. Maggese restaurant....a fantastic experience....to try I highly recommend it

We tried the cuisine of this interesting restaurant in the heart of the village of San Miniato Alta on the occasion of my wife's birthday. Cozy, intimate environment, with beautiful lighting and atmosphere. We chose the 5-course tasting menu, which proved to be a varied journey, rich in taste, nuances, flavors, textures, processes, with interesting references to the East and in particular to Japan. Very well made and balanced dishes, pleasing to the eye and the palate, adequate portions and attentive service. Truly compliments for your professionalism and care. If I really have to find a flaw, perhaps it is a slightly fatty note that we found in almost all the dishes and which was not always cleaned up by the contrasting ingredients. But in an autumn - winter menu, it fits. Adequate price, perhaps an excessive markup on the wine: tasting menu €62 per person, cover charge €5 per person, bottle €45 (when the market price is around €22). Overall a pleasant experience and a restaurant that I would recommend. Keep it up.

Beautiful experience in this small restaurant in the heart of San Miniato. Very refined and elegant environment, soft lights and beautiful furnishings make everything very pleasant. There were two of us and we chose the 6-course L'interno menu. Each dish is studied down to the smallest detail and it is pleasant to discover even completely new flavours. I will definitely come back to try the dishes in a different season. Impeccable service!

I have never had a better meal. Fabrizio the head chef is an artist, his talent is undeniable, yet he retains a humbleness and friendliness that is remarkable. He was happy to show us his process and share tips for cooking, and made us feel infinitely welcome. The waiting staff were personable and welcoming and explained the dishes and the paired wines with panache and openness. The whole experience was flawless. Additionally I have to compliment the limoncello that our waiter made himself, it was delicious. To summarise, go to Ristorante Maggese. Magic happens within it's walls.

Se uno non lo prova non si rende conto: le parole non bastano a far capire l’esplosione di sapori, l’accostamento tra materie prime di prima qualità. Il tutto condito da un servizio molto cortese, preciso ed attento alle richieste del cliente. Non è una cena come le altre, è un divertimento alla ricerca di gusti che ti rendono la serata veramente eccezionale. Complimenti a tutto lo staff per l’impegno e la dedizione volti a rendere “unica” questa esperienza. Menu da 10 e lode, perché 11 non si può dare! Grazie

Competent service, vast choice of surprise food, you know when you start and you don't know where you'll end up... Enchanting dishes with a thousand and one... notes of explosive flavours. To be returned urgently! Ultra charismatic owner in explaining the creation of everything behind this futuristic world of food.

Cena in due, abbiamo optato per un menu degustazione e per un aperitivo con bollicine e pop corn con spolverata di tartufo. Sapori equilibrati, piatti ricchi di umami, si sente che attingono alla cucina orientale. Consiglio a tutti, ma soprattutto (e lo dico da NON vegetariana!) a coloro che credono che un pasto privo di proteine animali sia privo di sapori. Servizio attento, non troppo formale, non invadente. Location piccola, intima e carina, secondo me adatto a cene romantiche o d’affari.
