Madeleine In Roma

Went Sunday morning for breakfast. Really nice location, with quality products. The problem was the service! We keep asking to take the order, we are bounced for 25 minutes, then finally they come to take the order, the cappuccino arrived half spilled, and the croissant ordered in the meantime was finished, with no other choice (usually it is put aside when ordering). I hope I came on the wrong day!

Breakfast was average in food, pastries are well decorated, but I expected more since they use high quality ingredients. The service was rude, the girl almost threw our cups and plates on the table. We understand that she could be in a hurry (we saw that she later was having lunch) but you should keep courtesy to the clients.

The atmosphere was nice and had a good vibe, the personnels were little bit angry or not in mood except a man with white hair , he was so nice and welcoming, The shake was not bad but the sweat was amazing

Wonderful interior with stunning period furnishings. Visited in the afternoon. Lazy service staff, not very attentive to the customer and cleanliness (crumbs on the tables and floor). Very peculiar bathroom. Barely adequate cappuccino, limited and discreet pastries. Prices in line with the environment. If you are looking for atmosphere, it is fine (even outside tables), if you want substance it is not your place.

The restaurant is nice but the attention of the waitress are very unpolite, a shame because the place is fancy.

Breakfast is a must here: the best croissants - and I stress croissants - in the capital! Filled with a delicious custard - lots of cream - crunchy like you can't find anywhere else. The cappuccino served in very delicate cups. In short, Madeleine is a real morning treat. Friendly and professional staff, the place is very beautiful. The only downside: it is infested with unbearable radical chic, that fake-poor type with a house in Capalbio and a dad who pays for the tantrums of these never-grown-up children. If you step on someone's toes in the crowd, try to step on the right pinky, the one that sticks out of the fake-Franciscan Birkenstock slipper. At worst, the owner of the pinky will limp off to vote for Calenda. And there will be many who will thank you!

Cozy place with French atmosphere, very kind service, relax, class! A unique place! Better in the late afternoon.
