MAD Inside The Box In Riccione

Nice place with a confusing and confusing decor that is overall pleasant. The cocktail menu is interesting, with few but good wines. Unattractive cuisine with mediocre results.

We dined at "Mad inside The Box" two nights in a row to try various dishes, and we were very satisfied. Each dish was well prepared and carefully presented. Here's what we tasted: Linguine with clams, bottarga and ginger: A well-balanced dish, with a mix of flavors that blend perfectly. The clams were fresh and the bottarga added a touch of flavor, while the ginger added a note of freshness. Burrata and lime tortello, roasted red mullet and yellow datterino tomatoes: The pasta was a little too thick, but the burrata and lime filling was delicious. The roasted red mullet and yellow datterini tomatoes completed the dish with a touch of sweetness and acidity. Fried anchovies, aromatic herb powder: The anchovies were crunchy and tasty, but the portion was very generous and risked becoming monotonous. A fresh sauce would have helped balance the dish. Steamed skate bao, spinach and mayonnaise curry (3 pieces): This dish convinced us less. The steamed ray was not very tasty and the curry mayonnaise was a little heavy. There are 3 pieces, it doesn't say anything on the menu, so it has a significant impact on the stomach. If you want to try it, consider it as a dish to share. Maritozzo squacquerone, caramelized fig and bacon (2 pieces): The highlight of the evening. The Maritozzo was soft and well-filled, with the creamy squacquerone, the sweet caramelized fig and the crunchy bacon creating a perfect balance of flavours. The service was excellent: the staff, made up of young and attentive guys, were professional and kind, always making us feel at ease. The place is very beautiful, with a modern design with attention to the smallest details, which creates a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Great music selection at the right volume. Pet friendly place. The only weak point is the view onto the road, which is a bit busy during the day, but this did not affect our overall experience too much. Ultimately, “Mad inside The Box” is a restaurant that we highly recommend for the quality of the food and the excellent service.

Visited for the first time in early August, truly special cocktails, great attention to detail, special and very welcoming environment. The staff were really nice and friendly. A special mention to the dachshund Manolo :-) Highly recommended, five stars well deserved
