When a historic shop gets a makeover, you always feel a bit apprehensive. And this butcher shop, which I've known for a while, has been completely renovated for a while now, completely modern and welcoming. Truth be told, I thought they'd lost some of their soul. But no. The meat is always good, the kind you can feel is quality. There's nothing to complain about; they focus on substance. Plus, they've now added a deli, with ready-made dishes that sometimes save you some time. Sure, the prices are a bit high. We know, we're downtown and quality comes at a price, but sometimes you feel like you're slacking off. The staff, however, is always friendly, and that's what counts. All in all, a place that does a good job, one is happy to return, as long as you don't watch your wallet too much.
