Reservations recommended to secure a table and enjoy the Macelleria's delicacies! Five of us had a grilled meat for three and a mixed fried fish dish. Everything was excellent and the portions were just right! Family-run, a bit disorganized, but that's part of the beauty! Beautiful location! Highly recommended!

A quaint restaurant in the heart of Alessano, where you choose your meat right at the counter and it's grilled right in front of you. I tried the horse meat pieces in sauce: incredibly tender, flavorful, and prepared according to Salento tradition. The bombette were also excellent, grilled to perfection. The atmosphere is simple yet welcoming, with outdoor tables overlooking the square: perfect for a casual evening with friends. Fair prices and generous portions. My only advice: the restaurant is very popular, so it's best to book or arrive early. Overall, an authentic and tasty experience: a must-visit for anyone who wants to discover the true flavors of Salento. The gluten-free option is excellent, and it's recommended for pregnant women, as they are careful about how the meat is cooked.

I had dinner at this restaurant and was very satisfied. The meat was truly excellent: cooked exactly to perfection, tender and flavorful. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. The service was friendly and fast, with helpful and attentive staff, especially Cinzia, the owner, who is very friendly and customer-focused. The welcoming atmosphere facing the Mother Church of the Most Holy Savior is perfect for both a dinner with friends and a special occasion. Definitely a place I'll gladly return to! I recommend Grappa Polly to everyone.

The butcher's shop opens onto a large square. We ate outside, which is very quaint. We had bread meatballs, meatballs in tomato sauce, and a mixed grill with a bit of everything. The meatballs and capocollo were fabulous, and the rest was delicious too. The staff were welcoming and attentive. We ate in less than an hour. They were efficient, and I highly recommend it. The prices are very fair. Well done!!!
