Macelleria Del Monte In Casarano

We happened upon it by chance one evening in early September. We were craving a barbecue and by chance we found this butcher's shop and grill... a simple little place with wonderful owners. They made us feel at home, and the quality of the food they serve is exceptional, with generous portions. Highly recommended!

Everything was delicious and the staff were really friendly. The bombette were spectacular.

If you're looking for luxury and opulence, I don't understand why you'd seek places that satisfy the palate rather than the eye. A simple, unpretentious environment that makes you feel right at home. Family-run, with takeout also available, with the wife (Mirella) in charge of welcoming, cooking, and waiting tables (at least on the night we went, when they were short-staffed due to employee needs) and the husband (Enzo) at the butcher's and grill. Two delightful people who quickly made us feel at home. Discovered by chance, following the reviews, it remains a very simple place (a classic butcher's shop), but once you sit down at that table, the quality of the products and the culinary expertise of Mirella and Enzo at the grill allow you to experience an evening where your palate feasts on the flavors of traditional Lecce cuisine and your mind relaxes and clears of all worries. A truly pleasant experience; an appointment that could become a regular one every time we go down for the holidays.

A simple and very welcoming grill restaurant, definitely family-run. We were welcomed as if we'd known each other forever. Mirella is truly a classic "Southern Mamma" who made us feel right at home. What can I say? Even though they were understaffed, they didn't leave us wanting for anything, with excellent service and food. Recommended if you're looking for a place in the hinterland where you can eat good meat and escape the hustle and bustle. See you soon.

Siamo arrivati in Macelleria - Braceria Del Monte per caso,siamo stati accolti dai titolari in modo caloroso,a dir poco eccellente e ci siamo sentiti subito a casa,siamo stati poi deliziati dalla loro grigliata di carne con contorno di patatine fritte! Consigliatissimo,ci ritorneremo!

Ci siamo trovati casualmente in questo luogo dove siamo stati letteralmente coccolati da Mirella che ci ha accolti con una cortesia e gentilezza al di sopra della norma. Qualità dei prodotti eccellente, ottimamente preparati dal Maestro Enzo, anche lui molto accogliente. Ritorneremo sicuramente e, anzi, sarà una nostra tappa fissa ogni volta che saremo in zona. Davvero una piacevolissima scoperta. Lo consigliano vivamente.
