The pizza was good. We ordered the pizza by the meter with some friends: thin, well-topped, and tasty. The appetizers were also good. The price was excellent.

We went there out of desperation because of a storm...but in fact, the reviews reflect the sad reality: the food wasn't great, the waiter wasn't friendly...the menu had an enormous selection...not a good sign...meh, I'm giving it 3 stars for the average quality and the setting...and I'm being generous.

We had lunch at Maccherone on a day in August. The food was good and the service was excellent. We loved the puccia with its jar and platter. Well done!

Great last minute lunch spot. Server was friendly, engaging, knew how to play to tourists regardless wheee they were from. We split a pizza margarita to start which hit the spot. I had the orecchiette with a meat sauce and loved it; my wife went with salad with tuna and she was just as happy.

12/10/2025: I'd say it's the best pizza in S. Foca.
05/10/2025: I love San Foca, and almost everything about it is from there. Il Vagabondo is synonymous with history, courtesy, and fast delivery, even for takeout. The wood-fired oven does the rest. I always return to Il Vagabondo for pizza.
