I went there 4 years ago when I first moved to Roma and I didn’t know a single person in the city. The first 2 people I met were Nicoletta and Stefa. Little did I know that every single person that went to Mate bar would become literally my family. They took me in as a brother and I am forever grateful for the friendships that I have made throughout years ALL because of this damn bar. If I could give this place 1000 stars I would. I love this bar and the family that took me in years ago.

Lovely cocktails. Friendly staff, reasonably priced.

Great atmosphere for watching football, followed by good rock music. The beer is reasonably priced, and the espresso martini cocktail was excellent. The chicken nuggets were also very tasty (although there could have been a few more...). Still, I highly recommend it.

The guy who left the review before me is a nasty person who insulted the bartender for no reason, as the place is fantastic and the staff is professional and friendly.

Mate Bar was me and my friends favorite time when we were in Rome. Our bartender Nicoletta was very friendly and helped us unwind after a long day of exploring Rome. She was also very informative and helped us plan our next day, all while we were enjoying her amazing cocktails. If you are in Rome and especially staying in Trastevere, I would stop by here and enjoy the welcoming atmosphere during the evening.
