Lungarno In Firenze

We just spent three amazing days as part of our Honeymoon at the Lungarno in Florence. The location is wonderful, the staff amazing and helpful, the room extremely luxurious and the veranda on the Arno was a wonderful place for cocktails.

Amazing hotel, with an amazing view and location. Rooms are clean and charming. Bed sheets are incredibly soft!!! Service is outstanding- everyone going above and beyond, especially James out front. He saved the day when we didn’t have cash and needed to pay for a taxi, he paid out of his pocket (we paid him back later that day). Will definitely recommend and come back!

The Hotel Lungarno is breathtaking. Most of the main attractions, and so many incredible restaurants, in Florence are within walking distance. The rooms are well appointed and beautiful. Staying within the hotel walls makes you feel like a piece of history and the walls of the sleeping quarters feel like they were carved out of the walls of a castle. The service from the gentleman who opened the doors to the room service were all exceptional. A special thanks to the bellman, James, for always greeting us with a smile and being willing to help. He helped make our stay special.

The staff was excellent. They really made our trip memorable. It makes a difference people’s passion shines through. Mirco, for example, we will never forget for his joyful demeanor and positive impact he had on our stay in Florence. He had great suggestions for wineries to see in the Tuscan area as well.

This was the third time staying a week at the Hotel Lungarno Florence, we were fortunate to get a room with a balcony and loved sitting outside after dinner for coffee and dessert. The Lungarno is the most Magnificent Hotel in all of Florence, one block to the Ponte Vecchio, convenient to everything, within walking distance to the Duomo, Michael Angelo's David and even a Laundry a half block away. The Rooms are quite large and beds are extremely comfortable, The towels are plush, the sheets feel like Egyptian Cotton, the Shampoos and Conditioners provided are top brands. It is apparent that the hotel staff takes great pride in the care and upkeep of the hotel and that Management spares no expense to accommodate their guests. The Staff graciously assisted with opening my wife's luggage (the lock was tampered with by ITA airline staff which jammed something into the lock to try to pry it open but failed). The Breakfast Buffet included all of our favorites dishes and drinks including fresh squeezed Blood Orange Juice and was enough to carry us through the days of climbing the Duomo Tower, visiting museums and touring the city. The Hotel is 5 star, the hotel staff are professional, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. We did not feel like guests of the hotel, we felt like we were part of their family.
