Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurant by chef Federico Valicenti; very particular dishes, partly belonging to the Lucanian tradition but revisited and renewed with new flavor notes, respecting the local peasant and pastoral culture. The cooking of the meat (truly fabulous porchettato lamb) and of the second courses in general is particularly notable and exquisite; the first courses are more "ordinary", although they are also very good and innovative. Tasty appetizers and local cold cuts. The dessert "tiramisud" is also excellent. The chef is very courteous, helpful and present in describing dishes and flavours, making the experience pleasant and homemade. The restaurant-style restaurant (including bathrooms) is however very dated, and the service (apart from the chef) is quite anonymous. Finally, the bill is that of a high-level restaurant; small portions but, in the context of the tasting menu, you will not remain hungry (starters, two first courses, two second courses, house wine, water, dessert with encore and coffee = €50 per person). With a complete restyling of the place and a more "present" and professional waiter I would have given it 5 stars.

Intrigued by the view, my family and I decided to have lunch in this wonderful restaurant. We found not only warmth and welcome but also history, local wines, typical products and above all the possibility of a gluten-free lunch that is often difficult to find in places like these. The Chef is the first to welcome you at the table and spreads an enormous love for cooking and his land throughout the room. The dishes are a spectacle for the eye and the palate. We will definitely be back. 💗

I go there every year with great satisfaction. Every time the availability and undoubted culinary skills of the owner make our lunch pleasant and fun. Furthermore, he explains the history and composition of each course as well as some anecdotes about it. Furthermore it also has the excellent location with a panoramic view of the mountains around Terranova del Pollino.

Typical restaurant in line with its context, the legendary chef will guide you in an unprecedented culinary experience, we didn't choose anything, on November 1st everything was on a fixed menu and it was better that way, two first courses and two second courses, which tell you about the area . Definitely coming back? Advised? Absolutely yes

Il titolo intende evidenziare, la possibile commistione tra il cibo e la mente. Ebbene in questo luogo accade questo, grazie alla sapienza del maestro Federico che esalta i sapori tipici di Lucania con innovazione e dedizione raccontando le materie prime e luoghi di provenienza.

Abbiamo mangiato per due giorni di seguito in questo ristorante in occasione di una escursione in mountain bike sul Pollino. La nostra esperienza è stata molto positiva perché i piatti rispecchiano la tradizione lucana a cui si aggiunge la fantasia dello chef. Apprezzabilissimi salumi e formaggi locali, la zuppa di funghi porcini e gli altri antipasti che sono gustosi e diversi dai soliti. Ottima una pasta con ricotta, cannella e liquirizia, come anche la carne. Una sottolineatura per i dolci come il tiramisud (una rivisitazione con ricotta al posto del mascarpone) e il pan di Spagna con gelato e mosto. Prezzi giustissimi (anche bassi direi).
