I only write positive reviews. If you are curious, look at my profile. It is not the first time that I have had the pleasure of having lunch at Luna Rossa Terranova del Pollino. I wanted to gorge on porcini mushrooms and cruschi peppers. And this is why I was not disappointed at all.
Luna Rossa is a reference for those who want to taste typical dishes of Lucanian cuisine. But there is much more here. There is the selection of ingredients, their combination that make the dishes of Mr. Federico Valicenti a reason to taste. About Federico. Very kind person and great talker. I tried to take notes about the composition of the dishes. I am too slow. :-) I report some names to stimulate your curiosity. Carchiola, Porcini soup, 9 things cake, Ferzuoli with porcini mushrooms, Lagane di mischiglio, Ragù di erbe.

The typical restaurant Luna Rossa is truly a discovery, let's say that you have to go there on purpose, the road is a bit tortuous, but it's worth it; if you are mountain lovers and you are wandering in the wonderful Pollino National Park on the Lucanian side, then you should book without thinking, you won't regret it. The owner, Mr. Federico, is a true host; each dish chosen or recommended is followed by a story that tells the idea of the dish, the roots of the raw materials used and even some legends that are associated with some dishes on the menu. Every detail is expertly explained by the host, hospitable, convivial and kind. Tasting everything in one go is impossible but we will return!!! The tastiest dish: Caciocavallo basket with touches of meat and porcini mushrooms.
