Today's lunch was a wonderful journey through history, tradition, and beauty...you have the constant feeling that what comes next will only be better.
The classic place where those who work in this profession like me appreciate the time, the stories, and the passion Federico puts into his dishes.
It's not a mountain restaurant, nor the typical menu you'd find at a farmhouse; it's simply a unique experience worth trying again and again!!
I want to say a few words about the attention paid to children: they arrived at 1:00, the orecchiette were served at 1:10, the main course at 1:37, and the wait for the kids was zero! I travel a lot with my friends, and I assure you, it's not for everyone!!
This restaurant offers traditional dishes with Chef Federico's personal touch. Dishes that showcase the local history and tradition. The ingredients are of the highest quality.
Each dish was accompanied by a presentation by Chef Federico, who entertained us with anecdotes and stories related to the ingredients. Flavors, aromas, and colors were expertly and passionately combined. Everything was thoroughly enjoyable. My heartfelt compliments to this Lucanian chef. The price was reasonable; elsewhere we would have paid much more.
Terranova del Pollino is a unique place. We've been coming here for about 30 years to admire the wonders of the Pollino National Park. But Terranova is a perfect match for Federico and his Luna Rossa restaurant. Their unique restaurant offers cuisine based on appetizers and ancient recipes revisited by the chef's expert hand. Don't miss the "Cosciotto della sposa" (Bride's Leg).
