We chose this restaurant because we knew we would find quality meat and, in fact, we were not disappointed. We were in a bit of a hurry but we couldn't give up a cut, cooked rare, with artichokes. Really excellent. The little bird never disappoints.

Excellent restaurant specializing in meat, exceptional cured meats, good wine list.
The room was a little noisy with little privacy.
Prices high but adequate for the quality offered.

The atmosphere is a bit pompous, but the dishes are deep and expressive, everything is well-seasoned. Wide selection of wines and professional service. I definitely recommend it

Classic Tuscan, Milanese Style - Suppose you're looking for a taste of Tuscany. In that case, in food and the decidedly stereotypical and didactic décor - this spot in Piazza Baracca, right at the corner of Corso Magenta, is a solid choice. Finding authentic Tuscan cuisine in the heart of Milan isn't easy, but this restaurant delivers a commendable experience.
Recreating Tuscany at the edge of Milan's bustling center is no small feat, and while the attempt might feel a bit contrived, it works. The restaurant has two distinct dining areas: one is elegant and suited for business lunches, while the other leans towards a more festive, family-style vibe, reminiscent of a communion celebration. The former is refined, and the latter borders on excessive — choose according to your mood.
The service is a highlight. Professional waitstaff, a rarity not only in Milan but across much of Italy, provides efficient and prompt service. Dishes arrive quickly, a definite plus. However, a minor misstep: wine tasting should be offered both per glass (when switching wines) and with each new bottle. It's a small but important detail.
The menu offers Tuscan cuisine with a touch of Milanese influence, which feels appropriate given the setting. The food is good - better than many touristy spots in Tuscany and nearly on par with the classic Tuscan standard, which is becoming increasingly rare.
While the dishes could use a bit more seasoning to align with the original Tuscan style, they fit well with Milanese expectations. Portion sizes are just right, a welcome departure from the miniature servings typical of central Milan.
This is a traditional restaurant worth considering for business lunches or dinners (opt for the first dining room) as well as for casual gatherings with friends and family. A must-visit for enthusiasts of Tuscan cuisine and a great option for those seeking variety.
