Lounge Caffè - Schiuma In Matera

The central location, in the vicinity of the Basilica of San Francesco, which offers a beautiful view. The varied offer of pastries, the grandmother's coffee for Italy, the service on the other hand left much to be desired after we said that we had vouchers from the accommodation, as if they were doing us a favor. The dirty windows at the entrance were also unsightly, which matched the carelessness displayed by the staff.

Good sweet pieces, professional and friendly service. Lots of shaded outdoor seating. In the center of Matera, a few minutes walk from the famous Sassi. Great for a breakfast before starting hiking!

Typical local dishes, good wines.

It is a place immersed in the territory not far from the Sassi of Matera, their predominantly Apulian dedication and peasant roots, embrace the mixed flavors that the lands still produce as in the last century, and I don't want to continue with boring advice, but certainly don't miss the 'opportunity to go in person even if only to deny what I say..... P.s. I forgot Bacco and home???

Like barricaded grappa....if you don't know what it is, it's not for you

Excellent breakfast. Service a little slow if you are in a hurry. But it's fine if you are in Matera for relaxation. Friendly staff.

The Lounge Cafe is my favorite go-to spot in the afternoon and early evening The drinks are incredible - I'm a fan of the UMANIAMO Spritz, Campari Spritz with a half shot of Cointreau. The sandwiches are fresh and tasty and the sweets, incredible. It's a uninque destination in the historic center featuring multiple floors for dining, drinks, dancing, and of course coffee and snacks. Everyone is friendly and after one visit I felt right at home. It's also the perfect people watching spot, so come on over and have a drink!
