Decent food, but long wait even though it was half empty

It is not easy to describe Marco's welcome, which immediately overwhelms you. We relied on his advice and we could not have made a better choice. Furthermore, Marco tells you about the origin of his dishes, of which you can only appreciate the quality from the appetizer to the dessert. Shocked by the price. Maybe I ate in a starred restaurant and didn't realize it. Service €6 per person, coffee €3.50 to stay in Ostia, with people in costume walking past you and a view of the loungers in the establishment. Spent in 2, €256... madness.

“Le cose non programmate sono (quasi) sempre le migliori”…. ed essere capitati all’Ostrica Pazza è stata proprio la scelta migliore che potessimo fare! Per cominciare, non so quanti siano i ristoranti che ti accolgono per pranzo alle 15:00: qui è successo senza nessun problema. Secondo, quando leggi il menù e ti accorgi che non è il “solito” menù da trattoria di mare, cominci a capire di essere in un posto completamente diverso dagli altri. E così è stato! Dalla composizione dei piatti spicca subito quanto venga valorizzata la materia prima, sua maestà, il pesce. Nessuna variante che “copra” il profumo del mare, niente che ne modifichi o nasconda il sapore vero. Questo è il modo di esaltare il pesce, rispettandolo per quello che è. La Chef (che abbiamo conosciuto prima di andar via sa benissimo cosa fare, e bisogna lasciarla fare (come ben sa il suo maritino ;)). I piatti si sono susseguiti senza fretta (in riva al mare non si può avere fretta), accompagnati dal vino sapientemente consigliatoci dal sommelier. Crudi, sautè di cozze con zenzero, primi di pasta fatta in casa, tutte varianti nel pieno rispetto del pesce fresco. Ma il gran finale ci ha veramente stupiti: “la coccola” dell’Ostrica Pazza è un abbinamento di rum, fave di cacao e… sigarillo a legare il tutto (anche mia moglie, che non ha mai fumato, ha apprezzato). Che dire… ci siamo lasciati con un abbraccio e una promessa di tornare… e torneremo! Grazie per averci davvero state bene. A presto.

In questo ristorante si respira la passione e l entusiasmo che si ritrova nei piatti sempre di ottima qualità e sempre ben presentati. Ottimo il servizio e le "coccole"finali. Super consigliato
