L'Osteria di Monteverde In Roma

A true institution of the neighborhood, here the "osteria" is only in the name. Simple dishes but cooked with care and with innovative variations, always seasonal menu, excellent raw materials. To tell you, the Roman cuisine is excellent (carbonara and cacio e pepe first and foremost) but I also loved their pumpkin ravioli with cesanese and hazelnuts, as well as some vegetarian variations (macco). The place is small, approx. 30 seats, but with the possibility of staying outside in good weather. The service is courteous and approachable but a little slow, if you want to come here on the weekend, book and make yourself comfortable, it will take the right amount of time. Not even the prices are "tavern-style", but they are fair when compared to the quality. Advised!

We recently dined here with friends who have just moved to this neighborhood. W O W! Standout experience in every way. The service is warm and professional, they were exceptionally knowledgable about wine and helped us choose the perfect bottles. The menu is a mix of the innovative and the classic, and I am sure it changes all the time, but we shared appetizers of beef tongue (perfectly prepared, so tender) and we also enjoyed the winter ceviche. My husband had the strangozzo dal mar terreno and it was a revelation. We will be back, many times.

Excellent restaurant à l’écart des quartiers très touristiques de Rome. On y mange délicieusement et les desserts sont excellents. Très bonne sélection de vins. Fréquenté quasiment exclusivement par les romains

Parliamo di un’osteria di quartiere di alto livello, con materie prime ben selezionate ed una carta dei vini degna di nota. Abbiamo assaggiato gli antipasti, ma i primi ci hanno decisamente soddisfatto. Sia i primi della tradizione che i primi stagionali veramente buoni. Come dolce abbiamo assaggiato il tiramisù, buono ma particolare con una rivisitazione del biscotto interno. Excellent experience for a business dinner. From this evening it will be my point of reference in Monteverde! We are talking about a high-level neighborhood tavern, with well-selected raw materials and a noteworthy wine list. We tasted the appetizers, but the first courses definitely satisfied us. Both the traditional first courses and the truly good seasonal first courses. For dessert we tasted the tiramisu, good but particular with a reinterpretation of the internal biscuit. The restaurant appears simple and recalls a typical Roman tavern, albeit with a revisited style. I'll be back

Very nice place, courteous and competent

Were here on New Year's Eve, cozy atmosphere, great service team, and the food was a successful mix of Roman tradition and a modern touch! The 90€ for 6 courses including wine was more than reasonable, requests for changes to the menu were promptly addressed, and we left the Osteria full and happy well after midnight! A direct hit and therefore 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had dinner here on my visit to Rome and it was a delightful experience. The food was excellent, taste, beautifully represented and I loved the special combinations. The staff was really friendly, very attentive and fun! Wine recommendation was also a good fit and we very much enjoyed ourselves the whole evening. I can definitely recommend this to tourists who want a real local experience and roman food and also to locals who live in Italy and want to try a place in Rome. Thank you!

A very real, authentic place. Delicious, attentive service, relaxed and elegant atmosphere. There are only Italians around. I will definitely recommend it to my friends.
