L'Osteria della Zia Gabri In Brescia

I've always heard a lot about this place and finally had the opportunity to try it. The environment is very beautiful, modern and well-kept. The food is good, but I expected something more. I didn't eat anything particularly memorable, although the dishes were very elegantly presented. If I had to give a grade out of tenths, I would say a 7-. The service didn't impress me: perhaps they were very busy, but I found it rather cold and distant. As for the bill, I consider it a little expensive compared to the overall quality of the service. In any case, it's a nice place worth a visit. My final rating is a full 6 and a half.

6.3.2025 As I specified in my review, I absolutely did not criticize the quality of the preparations. I know enough about cooking to know how certain dishes are made. And I'm not used to criticizing prices if the quantity served is satisfactory. You see... the point is that when I go to a restaurant it is to enjoy good dishes and, perhaps you missed the essential thing, I go there to EAT. In this case a single artichoke as an appetizer, even if prepared with all the necessary standards and with top quality products, is still a single artichoke. Nothing to complain regarding the quality of the dishes. Everything was absolutely excellent, I appreciated the initial appetizer offered by the house... but... but... I didn't like the tables without tablecloths and then the cost of the starters. You can't pay 15 euros for an artichoke cut in half with a few strips of sauce on it. For heaven's sake... very good... but still the cost is exaggerated for the quantity served.

In the environment, a classic tavern "revisited" in a refined way. Interesting menu, all excellent dishes and the right portions (to be full you must necessarily take both a first and a second course). Special mention for the lamb, highly recommended. Friendly staff and quick service. Prices a little high, still recommended!

I felt really good. Delicious and well-made dishes, with high quality raw materials. Not a great environment but that's fine. Pleasant and approachable service; then, perhaps due to the sympathy effect, the count was really low. What can I say... if I return to Brescia, a stop here is guaranteed! Compliments!

Ottimo locale, caldo e intimo. Ottimo prezzo e qualità. Pranzato molto bello e ci siamo fatti consigliare per il vino. Personale attento e preparato. Ritorniamo sicuramente.

Graziosa Osteria nel cuore del centro storico bellissimo di Brescia. Il pasto è piccolo con circa 30 coperti, ma già all’ingresso si respira un’atmosfera piacevole di casa, con dei buoni profumi di cucina. Lorenzo l’oste propone un menu non troppo grande ma decisamente molto interessante. Buona anche la proposta vini. Prezzi decisamente accettabili. Ci tornerà sicuramente.
