Suggestive venue in a historic building in the center of Gallipoli. Traditional menu that includes both meat and fish. Tasting of appetizers is recommended. Courteous and welcoming staff

We passed this place one morning. So beautiful and characteristic that we went for dinner in mid-September. We had seen the nemu online, prices a little higher than usual, but the location is worth it and, we hoped, the dishes too. Mixed fried food with fantastic potato panzerottini, while pittule and meatballs are a little hard. Eggplant parmigiana: decidedly non-traditional, I would say deconstructed, with very bitter aubergines; no, we're not there. There were 3 of us, I took gnocchi with beans and mussels which were so peppery that I couldn't perceive the flavors of the dish, another diner had the broad bean puree with chicory, a dish that we adore and always take in Salento, but the puree was actually liquid, soup style; another plate, bowler hats, discreet. Last order: the spumone. Now, this dessert is now a disappointment everywhere as the real spumone no longer exists: they usually bring a circular-shaped ice cream, very hard, but the one they brought them was also in the shape of... a truffle! What can I say, disappointing is an understatement. And in any case, pay attention to the side dishes which have truly exaggerated prices. Okay. Am I difficult? But all 3 of us agreed that we would not eat here again.

Excellent restaurant, really good quality food, nothing industrial or frozen but rigorously prepared, everything in house from the fried foods to the soft, tasty fragrant bread, all excellent, the quality raw materials. the staff and the chef were very kind. I recommend stopping to taste it all!!! We will definitely be back

We had dinner last night. Attracted by the ancient flooring and the sparse but restored furnishings that could be seen from the closed glass door. We read the external menu and then I booked on the phone. The environment is very welcoming, the building that houses the tavern is fabulous in its simplicity. We were looked after and pampered by the guys in the room, very kind and professional, and by the owner himself. We found an extremely interesting and varied menu. All native specialties. It was really difficult to choose. We ate very well and got our money's worth. Exceptional homemade bread and white wine. Delicious starters and first courses. Thank you all, it was wonderful.
