Sunday for lunch: it is a few meters from Ponte Milvio. We arrived around 12.40, fast service. Informal atmosphere, really good cacio e pepe. And also my friend's carbonara. I will definitely go back.

Excellent place to taste typical Roman dishes. The first courses are particularly good, but overall all the courses chosen proved to be satisfactory. Even though the room was full during our visit, the service was good. However, at some moments, the waiters seemed a little overwhelmed by the rush, making their attention to the table less constant. The room is large and welcoming, even if the only bathroom available, very small, represents a small limitation. Overall, definitely a recommended place!

Frequento questo posto da diversi anni e posso dire che sono sempre rimasto soddisfatto. Oggi voglio lasciare una recensione perché si meritano un giudizio positivo. Gli antipasti sono ottimi: croccanti, saporiti e non unti. I primi rispecchiano la tradizione al meglio, io non l ho mai presi personalmente, perché preferisco altro al ristorante, ma ho adagiato da amici e posso assicurarne la qualità. I secondi sono ottimi: la coda alla vaccinara è morbida e saporita. I dolci nella media. Nota di riguardo per il personale professionale e simpatico. I prezzi sono in linea con i ristoranti di zona, ovviamente non rispecchiano al pieno la filosofia del nome, ma seguono l’andamento dei prezzi in generale.

04/01/2025: I had lunch today with a very dear friend and family. I was here for the first time, but I must say that I ate divinely, simple dishes, excellent raw materials and excellent service from all the staff. We will definitely be back.

06/03/2025: We dined in Papa Re in Feb 2025. All the food that we ordered were delicious, and also the wine. My favorites were Bistecca Ferri, Spaghetti Amatriciana, Saltimbocca Romana. The staffs were kind and understanding. The Italians eat in courses, start with antipasti (appetizer), primi (first course), secondi (2nd/main course), then dolci (dessert). From where I come from, other than appetizer and dessert, all is considered main course. They asked us whether we wanted to have the primi and secondi served at once. So thoughtful. I really appreciated that. That made the food more enjoyable for us. The interior was small. Very little space left between my table and the neighboring table 😄. We were feeling un-easy at the first time, but as soon as the foods & drinks came, they made us forget the un-easiness. All was delicious 😍👍 This trattoria makes wonderful experience for me and my husband and son. Grazie 🙇🏻‍♀️🙏🏻 Definitely will come back to dine here again when we visit Rome in the future.
