It was recommended to me by friends after having been there twice for lunch a while ago. Honestly, I was a little disappointed. Prices are medium-high (we already knew that), the quality of the dishes and menu are average. The service could be improved.

Impeccable, competent, and efficient service. Very friendly waiters. A lovely surprise starter even though I hadn't ordered anything. Very peaceful in a small, well-planted courtyard. A wonderful discovery.

I've been to L'Oste Scuro three times, and each time it's been a culinary experience of the highest caliber. I was particularly impressed by the exceptionally fresh seafood, the creative menu, and the warm, professional service. Absolutely recommend it – 5/5 ⭐️

Siamo rimasti sorpresi dalla bellezza della presentazione dei piatti e dalla qualità del pesce,un gioco di sapori ed un abbinamento particolare tra portate e vini , perfetto. Molto soddisfatti anche dal servizio , ragazzi giovani, discreti e comprensibili nella spiegazione dei piatti! Ci ritorneremo!

An exceptional "osteria" that truly deserves a Michelin star. A very well-balanced tasting menu, with great finesse and haute cuisine centered around seafood - unusual and very tasty recipes. Warm and competent service. High-quality wine list as well. A superb discovery! Want to come back again and again!!

Quando si parla di pesce a Verona l'Oste Scuro ne è protagonista. Qui il pesce è presentato nella sua semplicità, poca lavorazione ma ricerca della materia. Una carta menu che da ampio spazio alla selezione del pesce crudo. Ambiente gradevole e servizio al tavolo informale ma professionale. Una certezza in città.

18/08/2025: The food at Gallinero is truly delicious! The ribs are delicious, the chicken with grilled vegetables is perfect, and the hot dog is absolutely worth a try. The desserts are a treat: the tiramisu is out of this world and the mango sorbet is truly magical. Service is fast, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place!

10/10/2025: Excellent little bar. we discovered this bar in 2023 we were served by Leo, lovely friendly polite young guy, we returned this year and he recognised us straight away which is so nice after two years!! Loved sitting people watching here. Very relaxed atmosphere and brilliant drink options!! Will definitely be back on our next trip to malcesine 🥂🍻🥃🍹 thank you Gabriele and Leo 🙂
23/09/2025: The best bar in Malcesine. Super-friendly staff, a good selection of drinks and snacks, and a great spot to watch the comings and goings. 100% the best Malcesine has to offer. After several disappointments at expensive bars, we've found our place to be.
