l'Oste Matto In Terracina

Truly a surprise. We were there for lunch in January 2025. We eat from a fixed menu with a truly honest price. The owner immediately puts you at ease and takes care of the customer. Nice and attentive. We ate well in a familiar and peaceful environment. There are gluten free solutions and this was truly a very positive note for us who have a celiac child. We will be back.

We went to this tavern on recommendation and I must say we were very satisfied. The owner is welcoming, friendly and helpful and all the service was impeccable. We eat very well and lots of it (fixed menu formula). Highly recommended!

Today I was in Terracina (LT) and I ate very well at Oste Matto in via Ponte Rosso, as suggested by several visitors to the page. I expressly thank you for the advice received. From the appetizer to the coffee, including wine, water, cover charge, (everything) for €35. Very fresh and perfectly cooked fish! Unfortunately in this period it is only open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays; and only for lunch on Sundays. However, I suggest, in case of need outside the days indicated, to call the place to check if it is open. In fact, today it was supposed to be closed for lunch, but having already hosted a group of customers, it also accepted me and 3 other couples. I will certainly take advantage of their exquisite hospitality again.

Pranzo domenicale di coppia, volevamo pranzare a Terracina e cercando su Tripadvisor ho intercettato questa Osteria con punteggio molto alto, locale molto pulito essenziale, menù fisso (premessa fatta dal proprietario al telefono nel mentre prenotavo) 5 antipasti caldi fatti al momento con pesce fresco ( unica cosa che non mi è piaciuta le polpette di pesce al sugo, un po’ piatte) nelle 5 portate di antipasto ci è arrivato del polpo con patate, alici fritte,polpette di pesce al sugo, zuppetta di lupini di mare con pane bruscato,suotè di cozze (tutto fatto al momento) scialatielli ai frutti di mare buonissimi e frittura di calamari freschi, insalata mista, dolci secchi (appena fatti non confezionati)caffè, vino, ammazzacaffè, proprietario e personale cortese e veloce. Abbiamo pagato 35€ a persona, che dire, prezzo qualità imbattibile, consigliato.

It's the sixth time we've gone to Oste Matto and it has never disappointed us. The fixed seafood menu is excellent with fresh, quality products. Beppe, the owner, is very nice and welcoming. Excellent value for money. We will be back!

Really good dishes and the "host" is very nice!! The only small flaw were the mussels in the appetizers, not up to par... but otherwise, everything was excellent and the risotto exceptional: we will definitely return, perhaps to taste the meat menu

I have been a customer since Peppe "l'Oste Matto" opened his restaurant. I immediately felt comfortable, very fresh fish dishes cooked in an excellent way. The owner is very kind, sensitive and attentive, he does not know the greed of the trader because his desire is to please customers and make them feel at ease. Excellent prices, fixed menu €35, also complete with sweet and bitter wine. After many years Peppe has become a friend, I brought many friends and everyone had a great time. My son, who is a professional chef abroad, often goes there when he comes to Italy, with his friends and with great pleasure. My rating is the highest....therefore passed with full marks. Let me introduce myself, I'm Fiorella and I invite everyone to go to dinner or lunch at "Peppe l'Oste Matto"... who has absolutely nothing crazy about him.

Super recommended place, the fixed menu formula is a winning choice. A favorite for fish lovers but the owner's kindness finds a solution for everyone
