Friendliness, cordiality, and helpfulness, all in one word: the host in the square. We stopped by chance and it was a discovery. The first courses were fabulous. The wine was amazing, the cantuccini were delicious. We'll be back if we're in the area. Thank you so much. You do a wonderful job.

welcoming....with an intimate and familiar atmosphere....simplicity and hospitality are the masters.
The food is excellent.
Fresh tagliolini with porcini mushrooms and homemade sausage, very tasty...

Di passaggio per non fare autostrada, in giornata di primo caldo, in piazza c'è questo Oste. Pranzo veloce ma gustoso, menù locale e prezzi corretti.
Sevizio molto garbato, simpatico e cortese. Merita una sosta più approfondita, magari di sera.

We had never been to this restaurant and in Barberino there are other more well-known and publicized places. I chose to book here and the choice turned out to be excellent. Meanwhile, fantastic location under the loggias overlooking the square. The starters are classic Tuscan ones and of excellent quality. The sliced beef is tender and juicy. I haven't tasted the first courses but I could see them on the plates of other diners and they are of excellent quality and plentiful.
The lady who runs the restaurant is nice and pleasantly ironic as every Tuscan should be. In short, a nice surprise for this Mother's Day in company.

Despite the description where it said sliced it was a beef steak with details on it. Still very good. I asked for red and was brought white. The first course with black truffle was just plain pasta with truffle oil and a small dose. Battered courgette flowers ready-made frozen stuff.
