Di passaggio per non fare autostrada, in giornata di primo caldo, in piazza c'è questo Oste. Pranzo veloce ma gustoso, menù locale e prezzi corretti.
Sevizio molto garbato, simpatico e cortese. Merita una sosta più approfondita, magari di sera.

We had never been to this restaurant and in Barberino there are other more well-known and publicized places. I chose to book here and the choice turned out to be excellent. Meanwhile, fantastic location under the loggias overlooking the square. The starters are classic Tuscan ones and of excellent quality. The sliced beef is tender and juicy. I haven't tasted the first courses but I could see them on the plates of other diners and they are of excellent quality and plentiful.
The lady who runs the restaurant is nice and pleasantly ironic as every Tuscan should be. In short, a nice surprise for this Mother's Day in company.

Despite the description where it said sliced it was a beef steak with details on it. Still very good. I asked for red and was brought white. The first course with black truffle was just plain pasta with truffle oil and a small dose. Battered courgette flowers ready-made frozen stuff.

But what a nice surprise this tavern is.
My partner and I found it by chance and I must say that we were really lucky. The dishes are all good, from the starter to the desserts, including the wine. Superlative quality/price ratio.

Finally a real Tuscan restaurant. Family run. Greeted by a very kind lady with a wonderful Tuscan accent, I immediately felt at ease and in a true Tuscan restaurant in every sense. The fresh pasta with porcini mushrooms and sausage was excellent not to mention the exquisite Florentine pasta. I WILL BE BACK FOR SURE

Very nice, especially on Saturday, market day. Cured meats made by their butcher shop, delicious. Organic cheeses. Excellent cutting boards.
Best tortelli I've ever eaten, an incredible filling (they follow my Mugello grandmother's recipe).

Small and well-kept place, in the square in Barberino del Mugello under an ancient portico. Not an excessive choice, all referring to typical Tuscan cuisine. Fast and courteous service, very good meat (the place is connected to a butcher's shop in the square itself), a truly excellent typical Tuscan trattoria to which one always willingly returns. Excellent wine list. Prices more than fair. Clean and well kept.
