L'Orto già Salsamentario In Torino

Over the river Po on a really nice street lined with shops and other eateries, there is a really nice vibe about this area. I had prebooked, (and I definitely recommend you do the same), dinner for 7.30pm and I was the first diner there, greeted by a lovely staff member, I sat outside, as it was a beautiful evening and nice atmosphere on the street. The menu was excellent, really hard to choose something, actually the first page is a tasting menu, which I would have loved to try, but it was too much for one person to eat. I chose "la Profumata" and it was absolutely delicious. The wine was very good. I noticed that it was served by the "glass" or ", bottle " this may sound obvious, but on all my other trips to Italy, wine is served by the quarter and half liters, which I prefer, as it's an actual measurement, pouring by hand is not fully accurate. The outside sitting area was full within half an hour, the staff were actually bringing out more tables and chairs. From what I could see, the only toilet was down in the cellar, they were clean and very nice, but the steps were steep, just so you know. I definitely recommend eating here, for high quality food with a different spin.

Dinner to celebrate a special occasion (anniversary)... satisfied with the experience, we will return because there is absolutely nothing to say about the quality and flavors. Unfortunately, the wait was long and, in personal opinion, a lack of attention to some details. We decided to try the tasting menu with wine tasting itinerary. Introduction: the place was fully booked for a Tuesday evening and the owner apologised, explaining the wait also due to the lack of 2-3 staff members. We sat down at 9.15pm, the order was taken shortly after and we started eating at around 10.25pm. The tasting journey started and between one dish and another the wait was correct. A little less pleasant was the fact of having to ask for bread which at the other tables, seated even after us, arrived with the water or with the first course ordered while at our table it arrived after a couple of requests when we were already halfway through of the trio of starters. I was also sorry for the wines that were not explained, not even a mention of the type of wine and without showing the label... good, but we don't know what we drank specifically, also because the order in which they were served was not it seemed to be the one listed on the menu 🤷‍♀️ On the menu: prosecco - nebbiolo rosé - merlot - moscato The following were served to our palate and sight: rosé - still white - merlot - passito The photos are of my journey, but I also had the opportunity to taste my boyfriend's dishes and absolutely nothing to say about the flavors and combinations. Everything was delicious from starters to desserts! We left really full! For the location, some ambient lights or a candle at the table would be a nice detail for personal taste!

Exquisite cobo, cared for and of the highest quality. Welcoming and pleasant owner and staff. Absolutely to return.

Delicious food beautifully presented - non vegans will not miss the meat/fish!

An experience through new flavors, a high-level olfactory and gustatory journey. The dishes are presented one by one by the staff or the owner and proposed in a creative way. My family and I were fascinated by this place. Recommended for vegans and non-vegans. The location is cozy, right behind the Gran Madre. What about desserts... Delicious! If you are lactose intolerant, you may find many options here. Congratulations to the whole team!

First time in this place, very warm and friendly welcome, typical of Sicilians (even if from Catania 🤣). First vegan dinner for some of us, we never would have thought we would enjoy it so much, both for the taste and the presentation of the food. Staff present but not intrusive. The locations are really nice and pleasant behind the great mother. We tasted the pizza which I must say had exceptional dough. Followed by an appetizer and first course with courgette spaghetti and pesto. Honestly, I had a great time, I'm not vegan but I really appreciate plant-based cuisine and those who, like these guys, can create amazing plant-based dishes. I really recommend it.

Bella esperienza in questo ristrante Vegano/Crudista che offre dei piatti sani senza rinunciare al gusto. Il menù propone varie alternative, abbiamo provato diversi piatti che abbiamo piacevolmente gradito. Il servizio è stato puntuale e cortese.

Prima volta per me in un ristorante vegano e crudista. Location in una bella via di Torino a fianco della basilica della Gran Madre. Il ristorante non è molto grande, ma è accogliente . Si viene accompagnati al tavolo da una signora sorridente. Menù con scelte limitate ma interessanti. Tutto buono, dalla tempura ai ravioli. Servizio molto gentile ed attento. Prezzi nella media. Da tornarci qualche altra volta per provare altri piatti.
