The pizza here is good, the food is decent but the service is unfortunately lacking. We had to ask for bread and wait a bit even though we had ordered gnocchi alla sorrentina. We asked for two macchiatos and brown sugar. The coffees arrived normal with white sugar that we asked for again and after 5 minutes with the cold coffee they told us that the sugar was finished, too bad that my friend coming back from the toilet heard them say that the sugar was on the ground floor and therefore no one would go and get it. Young, inexperienced and poorly educated guys can worsen the impression you can have of a place. For the rest, everything is fine!

During my visit to Naples I tried this pizzeria in the heart of Spaccanapoli… and what can I say: the best I've eaten here so far!
I can't say I've been to dozens of pizzerias, but this one really won me over: light dough, fresh ingredients, authentic taste… in short, a real delight! 🍕
And then there's Mimmo, the waiter: very friendly and engaging, he made the experience even more enjoyable.
A stop that I would recommend to anyone passing through Naples: top pizza and 100% Neapolitan hospitality!

A truly pleasant experience: the place is welcoming, with attention to detail and very clean. The quality of the food is excellent, you can feel the attention both in the choice of ingredients and in the presentation of the dishes. A special thanks to Mimmo, the waiter, who with his kindness and friendliness made the service even more pleasant. Recommended!

A small update is necessary as well as legitimate, this place has achieved a well-deserved success and has also expanded slightly, it's a shame it hasn't maintained the level, however high, of the early days, there are too many tourists... people passing through and in fact I go there very rarely now.
The review is necessary here, it was Benedetto Croce's pizzeria, therefore historic.
Very popular until 30-40 years ago, then it became a simple pizzeria, I last ate there a couple of years ago, enough pizza but nothing more.
Then the closure and renovation of the place with the change of management, very skeptically returning from a conference I was accompanied by a couple of colleagues.
I'll just say one thing... Top notch Margherita!
I saw plates spinning and everything was inviting, I'll be back soon that's for sure, at least until there's a queue, which I can't stand.
PS those who find themselves eating pizza, especially margherita, and agree with me, obviously I am referring to Neapolitans and not to foreigners even from Italy, who believe that pizza should be crunchy, may God bless them, I was saying in case of sharing my review, click 'like', thank you.
After the first casual visit I have returned often, the pizza is always excellent, I stand corrected, it is always superior, it's a shame that it is mainly frequented by foreigners who are inevitably unable to fully appreciate the quality of a pizza.
Personally, I recommend always ordering a Margherita and a pizza of the month, the sacred and the profane, in order to savor the classic nature of the ingredients and the whim of new flavours, obviously as a couple and making half a pizza for one.
Further advice if you have room in your stomach afterwards is to take a trio of montanare, fried pizzas with ragù, Genoese and ricotta on top, the ragù the first time we tasted it was memorable, and here it is worth a clarification, for foreigners, ragù is not a sauce with minced meat prepared in 30-40 minutes, but meat ragù in various cuts cooked for hours and hours and hours.
Very kind staff, all without distinction, among which Mr. stands out. Mimmo in the upper room is friendly, professional and patient (at least with me, who is a pain in the ass) and the owner (at least I think) is very kind and extremely helpful, as well as professionally trained.
On the one hand I will be sorry if in the future the pizzeria is overcrowded and I have to queue, as often happens, but to a lesser extent than others but if the standard remains like this it's fine, I'll wait.
The last but not the least the cost:
It costs a bit more than popular pizzerias, but if you take a Margherita and water or beer you'll need the classic 10 euros per head, if you try the montanare and take a bottle of Gragnano it costs more than 20 euros each for a couple, I wouldn't define it as expensive, but I can't comment on the quality of the restaurant, given that there are well-prepared dishes of classics and Neapolitan specialties, all very inviting but not yet tried at the moment.
