In the heart of Pollutri, we discovered this magnificent agriturismo/restaurant run with overwhelming passion by Francesco and Maria Concetta. Their cuisine is the most sincere and delicious expression of Abruzzo's tradition: simple, authentic dishes prepared with excellent, locally sourced seasonal produce. Every flavor tells the story of this wonderful land. Francesco and Maria Concetta are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel instantly at home, like family. A culinary and human experience we recommend to anyone near Vasto. If you're looking for the authentic flavors of Abruzzo and a warm welcome, L'Olivastro is a must-see. We'll be back very soon!

On vacation in Pollutri, we found a home-style restaurant with locally sourced produce. The owners were truly kind and clearly passionate about what they do. Delicious local products were served, followed by house liqueurs. A peaceful place surrounded by olive trees and vineyards.

09/08/2025: I returned after a few years but was disappointed. I don't think it deserves a Michelin star anymore. The place is nice and has remained unchanged. The staff is sometimes friendly but sometimes a bit rushed and uninterested. I had a pasta dish (good) and then for our main course we chose the grilled fish of the day. They recommended the John Dory, but the portion was really meager, with a small side of vegetables (they had said potatoes and vegetables, but only the vegetables arrived), for €20 each. They told us they grilled it, but honestly, it didn't taste like grill, it tasted like anything. Plus, we had to fillet it ourselves on the plate, so by the time I started eating it, it was already cold. We got very little meat out of one fish. Too bad, I thought I was going to have a good fish meal, but the portions were meager and the prices were unreasonable. Two dishes with a glass of wine were €50 each. The sad fish in the photo. I had good memories of it a few years ago, but from now on I don't think it will be worth going back.
05/08/2025: Very intrigued by this historic restaurant, which I'd never tried before, I decided to book a dinner with my husband. Recommended Michelin restaurant with average service and hospitality. A nice brick location with maritime decor; don't expect a sea view. We ordered two portions of crudités (5 pieces + 1 oyster and 3 mini shrimp each), two portions of hot appetizers (5 pieces), water, wine, dessert, and coffee. Everything was average; perhaps the best was the licorice parfait. The cuttlefish tagliatelle with crispy Altino peppers came in second, and the tuna tartare came in third. Perhaps the prices need to be reviewed, as they're more in line with the Milanese market than the Abruzzo one.
