We stumbled upon it by chance, but as often happens, it's the best experience. Excellent food and friendly, attentive staff. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through.

I gave it 5 stars because the food is good and the price is reasonable, but I would have given it even more because of the owner's friendliness. He explains the ingredients and even the recipes. They work with the refrigerator, not the freezer (that's what he said).

Found this beautiful place looking for a stopover on the drive from Napoli to Bari and so so glad we came in. Some of the best service we’ve had anywhere in Italy, the wait staff went through helping with translations for the entire menu and were so helpful and patient with our nonexistent Italian. Food was all delicious - we got the parmigiana (came with both zucchini and eggplant which were both great), fried anchovies, a pasta I think was called paccheria with the farmer’s ragu, and the local beneventine tart which was completely new to us. No misses everything amazing, super reasonably priced, and everyone there was so friendly through to when we left. Worth going out of your way for - thank yourself later.

Had a lovely lunch here on the drive from Naples to Puglia. Such an unexpected delight - the staff could speak very little English but went above and beyond to translate all the dishes for us in English via google translate unprompted and were so friendly and jovial. We also got to try some great food we hadn’t experienced elsewhere in Italy. It felt like being welcomed into a wonderful family home, and the food reflected this. It was all well-priced too and the menu changes regularly, reflecting high quality, seasonal food. I highly recommend stopping here en route to Puglia. The food, service and ambience is amazing!

It's been a long time since I've written this review, and I find it particularly difficult to separate objectivity from subjectivity. Still, here I am: trying to understand humans—and myself—from the perspective of a diner, a future restaurant owner, and also as a simple tourist exploring Italy, a country I deeply love and which I find incredible. That said, if I have to talk about the restaurant, I have to say that the food was exquisite. Truly delicious. It was definitely worth it for that reason. However, the experience was marred by a very unpleasant episode with the waitress. Apparently, she wasn't pleased that I shared some of my food—which I had paid for myself—with a stray cat outside the restaurant. I understand that she didn't think it was appropriate, but there are ways of saying things. Instead of speaking to me respectfully, she rudely touched my shoulder and yelled at me in front of my friends. Was that really necessary? His attitude was so aggressive that I decided not to continue eating. An evening that promised to be special ended up becoming tense and tiresome for those two hours. I don't know if his attitude stems from stress, the heat, or a deeper frustration. But if he doesn't like his job—and he only does it because it's part of a family business—maybe it's time to rethink some things. Is it worth living with that level of bitterness for a few euros? I say this without judgment, from a place of reflection: if our psychology directly affects the way we work, perhaps good therapy is a more valuable investment than continuing in something we hate. Oh, and by the way: the heat in the place was unbearable. There was no air conditioning. :)

Selezionato il ristorante dalla banca dati di Trip Advisor, abbiamo trovato un locale senza grandi pretese estetiche ma gestito con cura, grande simpatia e professionalità del personale. La lardiata era eccellente così come la frittura di pesce e le alici imbottite. Un pochino secco il brasato nocino e vino non al livello della cucina. Da consigliare.

Sono venuto da Bologna per visitare la Campania ed oggi Benevento. Siamo capitati in questa locanda di cui avevo visto ottime recensioni. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente! Un antipasto, due primi e un secondo fatto dalla simpaticissima cuoca a cui ho fatto personalmente i miei complimenti. Da tanti anni non mangiavo così bene. Grazie anche al proprietario che ci ha raccontato con pazienza i piatti della locanda e ci ha fatto sentire come a casa. Se tornerò a Benevento non mancherò di venirvi a trovare per gustare i sapori della vostra terra. Grazie !
