Saltellando tra le alpi lascio Malga Panna nell' innevata Moena e torno nei luoghi di villeggiatura di quand' ero bambino. Da Tambre alla locanda il passo è breve e ritornare a deliziare il palato a suon di agnello credo sia la cosa più ovvia. Ma oggi... anche se tendenzialmente non gradisco i menu' degustazione, mi è' caduto l' occhio sulla selvaggina. Se il capriolo è il cervo erano quasi scontati per la loro straordinaria esecuzione, mi ha lasciato sconcertato l' anatra selvatica. Un anatra lavorata, preparata e cucinata rispettando la particolarità del gusto della selvaggina. Due cotture da ricordare! Gli altri piatti non sono da meno, come del resto i dolci e i vini importanti locali e non. Nel pagare il conto ho notato un libro che ho prontamente acquistato, un libro che ripercorre la storia di questo luogo, che parla di un omaggio a un grande cuoco e che ripercorre la storia con delle ricette. Leggendo questo bel libro mi ha fatto riflettere, apprezzando appieno non solo il cibo, ma quell' atmosfera accogliente piena di estrema passione per il servizio. Il piatto è il cibo sono importanti, ma senza lo staff che ci mette amore, passione e sentimento... anche la migliore pietanza apparirebbe come " una idea vuota". Che dire... Bravi, Bravi, Bravi.

An elegant and delicious restaurant where you can have lunch or dinner in a special location, whether for an anniversary or a business lunch. Everything was very good and looked after. I will definitely be back.

Had a truly wonderful meal in the Locanda San Lorenzo last night. Have eaten there numerous times over the last 30 years and have never been disappointed. The staff are very professional and welcoming and the food quality and presentation is excellent. It’s always a pleasure to have a meal there. Highly recommended if your’re in the area.

AUTHOR'S SNAILS We all knew that San Lorenzo was a renowned restaurant. Let the menu include dishes that have convinced the stellar commission, too. Marinated Alpago trout tartare, jugged wild boar ravioli, roasted Fregona tramacchiato pig and many others that have made this place famous. Among all, however, there is one that deserves mention and also the journey: "Crispy snails with two garlic cream", we read. Amazing, to say the least.

Che il San Lorenzo fosse un ristorante rinomato, lo sapevamo un po' tutti. Che dal menù escano piatti che hanno convinto la commissione stellare, pure. Tartare di trota marinata dell’Alpago, ravioli di cinghiale in salmì, maialino tramacchiato di Fregona arrostito e tanti altri che hanno reso famoso questo locale. Tra tutti, però, ve ne è uno che merita menzione e pure il viaggio: “Lumache croccanti con crema ai due agli”, si legge. Strepitose, a dir poco.

My girlfriend (who is usually very reluctant to eat certain things) devoured every dish presented to us. This makes you understand a lot about the type of place you are in front of. It may seem like a review made just for the sake of it, looking at the full 5 stars. However, there are many aspects of this historic venue that made me give this assessment: 1. the quality of the raw materials - From the aperitif they bring you as soon as you sit down, you can perceive that the ingredients they use are of the highest quality. Flavors that convey a high level of authenticity and security; 2. the way in which they enhance these raw materials - You can immediately see that the kitchen is not joking: the appetizers that they bring you when you order are very simple but at the same time complex preparations, they manage to make you savor the dishes without bombarding them with other ingredients . a simplicity, however, researched and studied that leaves you speechless; 3. the pairings - There is little to do, the dishes feature pairings with the main raw material that enhance it to the nth degree. they make you understand that the chef doesn't joke, he loves cooking and transmits this love for his work by shaping it into fabulous creations; 4. the service - The service is worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant: natural elegance, not forced by the weight of the name of the place. the maitre d' immediately makes you feel at ease and transmits tranquility with a smile. the very good and approachable dining room staff, worthy of the star; 5. Relaxed and pleasant environment, the restaurant is very fresh and bright, very clean and well-kept. the air you breathe is equal to that found at home and is not weighed down by the thickness of the room; 6. the value for money - There were two of us, we spent €130 and I think the experience was worth every single penny. I didn't feel shocked in the slightest by the prices on the paper, I immediately understood the value of the dishes and the service. Furthermore, the cost of the cover charge (6€ each) is even low considering the table linen, the quality of the glasses and glasses, the homemade bread that is brought continuously as soon as you finish it and all the appetizers that they bring to prepare you for the meal. We had two glasses of prosecco as an aperitif, beef carpaccio divided in two, a suckling pig with peach sauce, grilled peach and salad and bigoli with roe deer ragù, raspberry and red onion sauce and raspberry crumble. the value for money deserves a 10 out of 5. dishes that don't make you leave on an empty stomach, so much so that we had to give up dessert which unfortunately didn't fit. I thank all the staff, kitchen and dining room, for the welcome and the wonderful and unforgettable experience!
