Had a truly wonderful meal in the Locanda San Lorenzo last night. Have eaten there numerous times over the last 30 years and have never been disappointed. The staff are very professional and welcoming and the food quality and presentation is excellent. It’s always a pleasure to have a meal there. Highly recommended if your’re in the area.

AUTHOR'S SNAILS We all knew that San Lorenzo was a renowned restaurant. Let the menu include dishes that have convinced the stellar commission, too. Marinated Alpago trout tartare, jugged wild boar ravioli, roasted Fregona tramacchiato pig and many others that have made this place famous. Among all, however, there is one that deserves mention and also the journey: "Crispy snails with two garlic cream", we read. Amazing, to say the least.

My girlfriend (who is usually very reluctant to eat certain things) devoured every dish presented to us. This makes you understand a lot about the type of place you are in front of. It may seem like a review made just for the sake of it, looking at the full 5 stars. However, there are many aspects of this historic venue that made me give this assessment: 1. the quality of the raw materials - From the aperitif they bring you as soon as you sit down, you can perceive that the ingredients they use are of the highest quality. Flavors that convey a high level of authenticity and security; 2. the way in which they enhance these raw materials - You can immediately see that the kitchen is not joking: the appetizers that they bring you when you order are very simple but at the same time complex preparations, they manage to make you savor the dishes without bombarding them with other ingredients . a simplicity, however, researched and studied that leaves you speechless; 3. the pairings - There is little to do, the dishes feature pairings with the main raw material that enhance it to the nth degree. they make you understand that the chef doesn't joke, he loves cooking and transmits this love for his work by shaping it into fabulous creations; 4. the service - The service is worthy of a Michelin-starred restaurant: natural elegance, not forced by the weight of the name of the place. the maitre d' immediately makes you feel at ease and transmits tranquility with a smile. the very good and approachable dining room staff, worthy of the star; 5. Relaxed and pleasant environment, the restaurant is very fresh and bright, very clean and well-kept. the air you breathe is equal to that found at home and is not weighed down by the thickness of the room; 6. the value for money - There were two of us, we spent €130 and I think the experience was worth every single penny. I didn't feel shocked in the slightest by the prices on the paper, I immediately understood the value of the dishes and the service. Furthermore, the cost of the cover charge (6€ each) is even low considering the table linen, the quality of the glasses and glasses, the homemade bread that is brought continuously as soon as you finish it and all the appetizers that they bring to prepare you for the meal. soggiornato in week-end agosto 2024. Appoggiati nelle stanze soprastanti il ristorante, pernottamento per visita ad amici. Stanza confortevole, spaziosa, luminosa, panoramica. Bagno comodo con doccia (unico neo : piatto un pò scivoloso) e accessoriato di tutto. Non abbiamo utilizzato il ristorante, ma affrontato una colazione spettacolare e con ingredienti di buonissima qualità, anche autoprodotti. Raggiungibile in pochi istanti dalla Statale, con un navigatore. Luogo molto tranquillo anche se fronte strada, spesa giusta per la posizione e il confort. Personale attento e cortese, gestori premurosi. Consiglio vivamente per il rapporto qualità prezzo.

4.5 STARS FOOD: local beef carpaccio starter. Very good and nice presentation of the dish. For the second course Tramacchiato pig: very good with a beautiful presentation of the dish. WINE: pairing with two glasses (rosé + red Valpolicella) suggested by the inn: average. DESSERTS: hazelnut and apricot wafers, elderflower foam and vanilla ice cream: good and well presented. SERVICE: very kind and professional staff. ENVIRONMENT: silent and air-conditioned environment with generously sized and well-spaced tables. QUALITY/PRICE RATIO: average; the quality is high but with important prices.

Maybe my review is not necessary but I still want to praise the food, the service, the care, the wine of Locanda San Lorenzo. It is very pleasant for a person with intolerance problems (gluten) to sit at the table peacefully and taste not only tasteless "alternatives" but every dish made with the utmost attention without having to ask every time ... "can I"?

25/08/2024: Ieri mi sono fermato per acquistare una grappa da portarmi a casa , ho trovato del personale molto gentile e competente che mi ha aiutato molto nell acquisto offrendomi vari assaggi , andavo un po di fretta ma ho comunque notato un ambiente cortese e allegro e ricco di prodotti locali e molta gente che pranzava . Consiglio vivamente. Bravi!

I have been an employee of Banda for almost two years now, and what I felt here I have not experienced in 9 years of catering, a mistreated sector on the employee side. Anyone who works in this field knows. Do you know what it means to be a waiter and be able to ask for a day off, including Saturdays or holidays? Having free time, being able to express one's work and non-work needs, being listened to, being able to have one's say, taking part in decisions, having mistakes accepted, having a regular paycheck and a nice, well-paid contract, enjoying training, company trips and dinners, feeling respected as a person and a worker...? If I were to continue there wouldn't be enough space. Here, here I discovered that working for a pub is not a makeshift, it's not disgusting, it's not the usual poorly paid bullshit with no incentives where they push you to believe that if you're a waiter it's because you're not capable of doing anything else , you have to bring two plates anyway... you look at the penny and nothing more. Do you know what's behind every sandwich, every event, every thing?
