Very good place, tradition and quality

Locanda Rossignoli is located in the center of Casale, just steps from the historic krumiri shop, Rossi. The restaurant is quite spacious, and the service is friendly and fast. We came here with very high expectations, but they were met... in part. Let's start with the appetizers: tarte tatin of caramelized Breme red onions with Robiola mousse. It was good, but perhaps too sweet; it needed an ingredient to break the flavor a bit. We also had the veal with tuna sauce. The meat was very good, but the tuna sauce was lumpy... I think they added some grainy mustard. A reinterpretation of theirs? The braised beef was good, but the potatoes had been cooked in too much butter; you could really taste the flavor. And finally, the hazelnut cake. It was good, but way too sweet! Alas, we weren't entirely satisfied; all in all, I'd go back and give it a second chance.
