Enchanting place rich in history and geology, scents of other times. Good food like mum made, local flavours. Great hospitality at family prices. Lunch on August 19, 2024.
The place is simple but nice. Service a little disorganized.
The pizza was good but not one of my favorites.
I booked by phone asking if they had a gluten-free pizza for an intolerant and they replied that they had to see if it was available tonight. Since the pizza was for a 2 and a half year old child, I informed them that I would bring it from home without any problem (among other things, a small pizza from the oven)... the owner responded in an unkind manner to us ABSOLUTELY WE DON'T DO THINGS LIKE THIS. BETWEEN VEGETARIANS AND VEGANS IT HAS BECOME A MESS.......
Here it speaks for itself.
Came here for Sunday lunch, encouraged by the on libe reviews. We were not disappointed! Lovely, traditional Italian food and a delightful waitress who went out of her way to tell us in English what was on the menu. Really must remember to only Primo OR Secondo because we really can't manage both! Started with a large platter of cheese and cold meats to share and the tagliatelle with mushrooms then followed by roast pork and salad. All delicious and over generous! I finished off with a meringue semifreddo.
Really lovely atmosphere. Looked like just a small local bar but we did notice a larger dining room inside so maybe gets busier in tge evening. Definitely worth a visit if you go to Smerillo which has fantastic views over the Tenna Valley.
