Wonderful experience! Nothing to say, because some restaurants have to be tried to be believed. We'd already received several positive reviews, and both the restaurant and the location piqued our interest. The restaurant is an ancient building, part of the medieval village, located just below the beautiful Rocca di Montefiore Conca. While dining outside, you can be captivated by the Rocca, which dominates the village square where Locanda Il Grillo is located. The atmosphere is quiet, hospitable, welcoming, and charming. The staff is friendly and always available to meet your every need. The service and wait times are very fast. The food? No comment!!! To say it was sublime is an understatement! Highly recommended on every level, and don't forget to try the super specialty... the Fazzoletti del Grillo... we still dream about them at night 🤗❤️

Culinary excellence in Montefiore Conca: superior ingredients and rare honesty! We celebrated Easter with our family at Locanda Il Grillo in Montefiore Conca (11 people) and the experience was simply superb. As an insider, I understand what it means to treat ingredients with respect: quality is king here. The culinary journey began with a platter of local delicacies: Prosciutto di Carpegna DOP, Salame di Mora Romagnola, capocollo, and artisanal pancetta, accompanied by semi-aged Pecorino Marchigiano and Casciotta d'Urbino DOP. All served with a fresh and rich dip, drizzled with excellent olive oil from the Rimini hills, and a warm piadina, which was constantly refilled. The first courses won us over: a sublime lasagna and the famous "Fazzoletti del Grillo" (ravioli filled with ricotta and eggplant sauce), a true masterpiece from the Chef. The meat was a highlight: stewed mutton and a tender tagliata, served with gratin and the freshest cooked herbs. The house Sangiovese was excellent, accompanied by coffee and plenty of limoncello. But what makes this place truly special is the human touch. Due to my mistake, I paid for 12 people instead of 11. Realizing my mistake once I got home, I called the restaurant: the young owner, Michele, with commendable fairness and honesty, promptly refunded me the difference. In a world where professionalism is often lacking, such a gesture is commendable. It's not just recommended, it's more! For 15 years now, I've been leaving reviews on TripAdvisor and Google for the culinary excellence of my second mother, Romagna. However, despite having tried every type of restaurant and activity, I've never felt such a sense of euphoria as when I sat down at Grillo. Aside from the evocative, almost fairytale-like setting of the bright and proud village of Montefiore Conca, which wraps around the Malatesta Fortress and draws you in as only our medieval villages can. Aside from the Romagna-style courtesy of the innkeepers, who greet you in formation at the entrance almost as if they were expecting you, rather than at least a hundred, uncounted, elegantly arranged seats at traditional, spacious tables that accommodate diners on at least three different floors of the inn. But the atmosphere of refined hospitality that makes us proud to be recognized as Romagnoli throughout Italy and the world, expressed in the kindness of the waiters and in the smiles the dishes brought to my face every time I saw them descending the steps connecting the various rooms of the quintessential inn. I've toured many medieval villages, reviewed countless restaurants and businesses in our native Romagna, but never would I have thought I'd find, almost by chance and in tandem with my visit to the highly organized and precious Rocca di Montefiore, my pride and joy, which I will recommend to all my friends and acquaintances. The dishes are indescribably delicious and plentiful. I've tried, with a cool head, to find any drawbacks to this gem nestled in the upper Rimini area, but even two days later, I can't. Il Grillo is the little place your friends will thank you for recommending. See you soon, very soon indeed.

Good restaurant, good food, and fairly fast service, although I've noticed that prices have gone up lately while portions have gotten smaller. Too bad... I don't know if I'll go back.
