Family lunch on a Sunday dedicated to remembering those who came before us... so as not to forget part of our roots. An atmosphere that made us take a happy leap back in time. Excellent Mantuan cuisine. Local traditions: respected. Excellent quality of raw materials. Spectacular orange duck, delicious cured meats, homemade cream ice cream, a treat from times gone by for the palate.

Lunch today. Appetizers with mixed cold cuts, salami, coppa, prosciutto crudo, and slices of polenta with gorgonzola and pancetta. First course: pumpkin ravioli, homemade pasta, the pumpkin was the highlight. Second course: roast rabbit, glazed, with raisins and sausage. Must try, truly delicious. Baked potatoes. Dessert: tiramisu, oh my, truly delicious. House red wine. Natural atmosphere. Brick vaults and walls, large spaces, order and cleanliness. Very attentive and helpful staff. Recommended.

We stopped by chance one Sunday at Locanda Castaldo and were pleasantly surprised. The place is truly welcoming and well-kept, with a traditional atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The kitchen offers well-prepared and tasty traditional dishes, with generous portions and excellent value. The staff is friendly.

11/10/2025: A little paradise for celiacs. All fresh, gluten-free! 😃 A lovely selection of baked goods for breakfast, from croissants to brisoline, from brownies to delicious single portions. The piadinas at lunchtime are excellent. The place is a little haven of sweetness. Tastefully decorated in shades of green, blue, and white, it's elegant and welcoming. Friendly staff. Prices are in line with the average for fresh, gluten-free products.
