Locanda di San Pier Piccolo In Arezzo

Sono andato durante il periodo natalizio per una cena con amici, gruppo di circa 15 persone. Il ristorante è molto bello, caratteristico e inseriti dentro a un palazzo storico del centro di Arezzo. Ci hanno dato per l’occasione una saletta privata, quindi non abbiamo disturbato nessuno e abbiamo potuto parlare a voce alta, scherzare ecc. Chi ci ha servito è stato molto gentile e professionale, davvero nulla da dire, perfetto. Purtroppo il cibo non è all’altezza del locale. Vero che era menù fisso ma: antipasto scarso e prodotti non di alta qualità. Primo, pici al Ragù, erano 2 forchettate, in se erano anche buoni ma porzione minima. Secondo filetto di maiale con patate, in pratica 2 fettine di filetto, oltretutto stracotto e stopposo (doveva essere cotto a bassa temperatura, ma mi sa che il roner era tarato male). Dolce una mousse, con la fame che avevo ovviamente è risultata buonissima. Il vino della casa era al limite del bevibile, acidità troppo importante, pessimo. Spero che sia stato il fatto di avere il menù fisso che ha portato a porzioni scarse e piatti non riusciti, altrimenti sarebbe un problema serio. Facendo una media: 5 per il locale in sé e il servizio, 1 per il cibo, vengono fuori le 3 palline.

I had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful structure, a former fratti convent that retains all its charm and mystery. Excellent location for visiting the city on foot and excellent hospitality. Thanks to Mr. Francesco for his kindness in telling us the story of this wonderful place! Last but not least.....compliments to the chef (excellent quality)

I went for lunch with some people (5) and he found us a seat despite the many requests. Very kind Mr. Francesco. That said, the food was very good and for only €20 it was a bargain. Its only flaws are that there was perhaps a little too much oil in the steak and it was cold. But they are really small because they are still very good! Very kind in making bread refills. The wine was amply enough for 5 people. Congratulations, must try! ☺️

On the occasion of the antiques fair I happen to stop in San Pier Piccolo. The place is unique because, even if located in the center, it is a fantastic oasis. The fixed menu for the occasion is simple, traditional and pleasant.

Locanda consigliatissima. Abbiamo trovato un'ottima accoglienza, sito in un ex convento proprio nel cuore del centro storico, a due passi da piazza grande. Con grande meraviglia abbiamo pranzato sotto "un cielo di affreschi" e nonostante la location e la posizione abbiamo pagato un conto veramente irrisorio. Ottimo il cibo 2 primi, secondo, contorno , dolce, acqua, vino, caffè e coperto 20 euro. Tutto buono e sapori equilibrati. Ah dimenticavo il nostro amico a 4 zampe è stato il benvenuto. Highly recommended inn. We found an excellent welcome, located in a former convent right in the heart of the historic center, a stone's throw from Piazza Grande. With great amazement we had lunch under "a sky of frescoes" and despite the location and position we paid a truly negligible bill. Excellent food 2 first courses, second course, side dish, dessert, water, wine, coffee and cover charge 20 euros. All good and balanced flavours. Oh I forgot our 4-legged friend was welcome.
