Locanda del Prof In Cherasco

09/01/2025: We went to Locanda Da Gio', a restaurant located in the heart of Alba. As soon as we arrived we found a huge restaurant, with a rustic style and very welcoming. Inside you can find spacious rooms with many tables. A positive note is that, despite being large, there isn't too much mess, so you can talk in complete tranquility. As an appetizer I took some raw meat chopped with a knife. This dish is truly something sensational, the meat has an intense flavor and immediately leaves you speechless at the first taste. Not to mention its freshness, something incredible, one of the best I've ever eaten. As a main course I took a beef fillet with green pepper, all accompanied by baked potatoes. This dish was also really delicious, the meat melted in your mouth and the sauce was truly delicious. However, it was a shame about the potatoes which didn't have much flavor and in my opinion were a little hard. The service was good, the dishes arrived quite quickly and the waiter was polite and helpful. However, I must say that overall I ate really well and if I could I would go back again. Recommended place!
