Locanda Del Picchio In Morro d'oro

Nestled in the beautiful hills of Morro d'Oro, the Country House features a small restaurant, a swimming pool, and a few rooms for overnight stays. This family-run establishment offers a menu sure to whet the appetites of the many tourists who visit (traditional local dishes such as arrosticini, fried cheese, and maccheroni alla chitarra with meatballs are complemented by a variety of creative dishes). I personally sampled some of the appetizers, including gnocchetti with porcini mushrooms and crispy pancetta, as well as an excellent sliced beef with yellow cherry tomatoes, arugula, and parmesan cheese. Brothers Michele and Gabriele provided us with a warm welcome, in addition to the restaurant's beautiful rural setting. Simplicity, friendliness, and professionalism are always synonymous with 5-star service!

A truly unique place, surrounded by greenery, where you can taste and appreciate the flavors of Abruzzo cuisine. I absolutely recommend trying the ravioli, gnocchi and liver kebabs, truly delicious. But above all, what makes this place special is the welcome and hospitality: smiling, sincere people who make you feel at home from the first moment. A place that leaves a beautiful memory!

Exceptional lunch, tasty ravioli which I recommend, as well as the liver kebabs. Excellent staff. Inn surrounded by nature, suitable for those who want to get some peace and want to get away from the frenetic city. Good location. I highly recommend the experience!

We had lunch in this splendid inn surrounded by greenery. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was tasty.

On Easter Monday we had lunch here with friends. The dumplings were from the supermarket and the seasoning mushrooms used were frozen. Slow table service. A real disappointment. The roasts are good.

I had lunch several times at the inn. All very good and very quiet and peaceful location, completely immersed in nature! Advise!

The location is very beautiful and the restaurant is also very nice and clean. The food was a little less, too much oil in the first courses, the fried cheese was not fried cheese, heavy batter and unmelted cheese that crumbled. The second courses were good. In short, if they improved the kitchen it would be 5 stars!
