Pensavamo che il miglioramento non fosse continuo , invece ………anche nel nuovo menù dell’estate si trovano piatti rivisitati sempre leggeri ma saporiti con novità continue . Le cotture sono sempre lievi per esaltare la naturalità degli ingredienti , sempre e solo ingredienti di stagione . Peccato che non potremmo esserci per la cena di Ferragosto 2024 , fortunati chi potrà prenotarla , se non ci sarà l’ esaurito quanto prima , ma comunque ci rifaremo subito dopo …….

Our wedding at the Locanda was lovely. The food was excellent, the place beautiful and the people at the Locanda were wonderful, very sensitive to our requests and expectations. We found ourselves pampered and we couldn't have found a better place. If our wedding was the best day of our lives, it is also thanks to them.

I returned after more than a year and found many excellent novelties: new dishes of traditional Ligurian cuisine slightly modified by a new chef. Ligurian-style stuffed ravioli with white rabbit ragout (super), roasted octopus with trumpet sauce and cashew nuts, a delicacy. Excellent service because it is discreet. Quiet environment in an evening with live music from a very soft jazz duo. An oasis that I recommend.

Excellent restaurant in the hinterland of San Bartolomeo. Very elegant and particular rooms, large garden. Truly a beautiful and very well looked after place. Excellent food.

The location certainly contributed to making our wedding day even more beautiful. The Locanda del Cavaliere is an enchanting place where the fairy-tale environment of the interiors and the garden with the Arabian tent were an excellent side dish to the wonderful day that we shared with an always kind and efficient staff, excellent cuisine and infinite availability on the part of of Paola and Roberta who always followed us and advised us for the best, throughout the entire period of organizing our special day.

Excellent food, waiters with a smile, attentive, kind and their presence almost imperceptible, buffet plates always full and never inappropriate with their service and their actions, a well-coordinated and graceful team. The environment, well what can I say... astonishing, romantic, well-kept, clean and impressive. All 5 stars with praise!

I think it is the most beautiful place in the area where you can delight in delicacies served impeccably. In addition to the charm of the finely restored building, the garden that looks like a painting, the professionalism of the staff, the refined layout and truly refined cuisine, the location is also a winner because the restaurant is located on a hill and can be easily reached from the San Bartolomeo al Mare motorway exit. Wonderful experience ❤️ 6 Stars!

Peccato solo per il tavolo un po’ troppo vicino all’ingresso…ma dal punto di vista degustativo tutto di gran qualità ! Molto buono il polpo, ottimi anche i ravioli, buona e ben cucinata la ventresca di tonno con verdure e puntarelle. Molto gradevole il dolce al cioccolato. Servizio e conto adeguati ! Non molto assortita la carta dei vini è piuttosto basica per lo standard del locale.

20/08/2024: Very very nice little place just outside the center of Dolceacqua, with a fantastic internal lake and scenic tables. The pizza is really good! They were very kind and found us a place even though it was late and without a reservation on a busy evening.
15/08/2024: It's not the first time I've frequented this place. The food as usual is delicious and of excellent quality. The view and location are stunning. I have already left a positive review, but I had to change it due to the service. The waiters, in addition to forgetting cutlery and glasses (there can be some distractions during busy periods), during the service they shout from one side to the other at some place to accommodate customers or variations or where they should be served ("look, the chips no longer go to the table x take them to the table y, move the table, go set the table...etc etc continuously all evening), a waiter swears because he was spilling something, they drop glasses because they run and crash. The icing on the cake, the waiter comes to clear the table and with his fingers signals me to move and pass him the plate 😱 ok I'll pass it to you out of kindness, but you don't give me that signal to move, or with words you ask me out of courtesy. Having closed the parenthesis of the service, the place deserves it.🔝

12/08/2024: We are not here for the first time and not for the last time. Great team, helpful, skilled, kind. Cool drinks, exciting food. The food is not only "produced" here, the owner also puts his heart and soul into it to make you feel good! If you're in the area, stop by and try a puccia or whatever. It's a pity that only five stars is the maximum. Special thanks for the picture of the team - one of my favorite pictures of our vacation :)
11/08/2024: Everything is beautiful and delicious.. you can dine while looking at the sea and eat special things.. small problem that if there are too many people there could be a bit of general confusion (there is no head waiter with experience who can find a strategy because the place settings are not so many). For the rest, congratulations!
