A nice menu... There are several Umbrian dishes to try, and more. Fast service despite the crowds. Good value for money.

We ate outside without a reservation - had to wait about 5 minutes which wasn't a surprise as this was in the Jazz week and all of Perugia city was pumping! Good service, good food - we had the whole roast chicken and the boar pasta between two of us. Very busy vibe reflecting the energy of the place. Central location - popular with locals. Parasols to shelter from sun (or rain!)

Pleasant experience, good food, we sat inside in the air conditioning, so it was fine. Average prices.

We were lucky that the half-board option where we were staying wasn't valid at all, so we discovered this place and went five nights in a row. It's located in Perugia's historic center, in one of the main squares, and has outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the service is quick, the dishes are plentiful and very good, and the bill is more than fair. We had, among all the dinners, a tricolor appetizer (confit tomatoes, burrata, pesto, and crostini), Norcia mortadella with warm focaccia, torta al testo with sausage and spinach, lasagna, stringozzi with rancetto, and Swiss cheese...all truly excellent! The wine by the glass is also good, both red and white. Reservations are recommended; it was full every night...obviously RECOMMENDED.

Welcoming, friendly and attentive staff. Really excellent food (try the "tricolore" appetizer!), very tasty and plentiful. Good choice of wines. Absolutely excellent price.

Locale situato nel centro storico di Perugia. La sala principale con degli archi in mattoncini molto bella e curata. Abbiamo ordinato la torta al testo, due primi e un dolce ed era tutto ottimo. Nota particolare per la pasta alla norcina. Ottima qualità prezzo. Servizio molto attento e veloce.

Siamo stati alla Locanda del Bartoccio il 23 aprile, alla ricerca di una buona costata fiorentina... e abbiamo mangiato davvero benissimo! Il locale è piccolo ma molto accogliente e ben gestito da tutto lo staff, giovane e cordiale. Abbiamo iniziato con una torta al testo, per poi proseguire con una fantastica costata fiorentina accompagnata da un ottimo calice di Sagrantino di Montefalco, contorni di patate e verdure, dolci, caffè e amaro. Conto finale di 100€, assolutamente onesto per la qualità del cibo e del servizio. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca sapori autentici e una bella atmosfera a Perugia!
