Concerning the service, unfortunately there is a lot to write here, I will limit myself to saying that there is a lot of disorganization, forgotten dishes, people who are not up to the level of the restaurant, even irritating people, the food fluctuates, you go from very good things to others that are less good, such as the sliced ​​meat with deer salt hard and rather nervous Then it's not clear why the tasting menus say minimum for 2 people but even if there are 2 of them ordering the same menu they don't do it because the whole table has to do it... so don't write a minimum of 2 people but only if it is ordered from around the table.

Refined but not opulent Restaurant located on a hill, near Savignano sul Rubicone, along a road that is a bit rough in the last kilometres, but the effort is worth it. Not easy to reach by car if you don't have a GPS, but the view from the terrace overlooking Cesenatico fascinates you at first glance: a wonderful, breathtaking view over a good part of the Romagna Riviera! Nice place with many internal tables arranged around a fireplace, and a large veranda that allows you to enjoy - between one course and another - the panorama below. The cuisine reflects the tradition and culture of Romagna, with well-presented dishes and for those who wish there is also the possibility of eating gourmet pizzas, as well as 2 tasting menus of 30 and 38 Euros, drinks separately. The menu list is not extensive, with a choice of 4/5 starters, first courses and second courses, but each dish is of excellent quality; Normal portions, not abundant which do not allow (in some cases) more people to taste. There were four of us and we ordered 2 portions of seasonal Bruschetta with artisan bread (1 is not enough for a tasting for 4), 1 portion of Squacquerone and caramelized figs and 1 portion with a selection of Mora Romagnola cured meats. Tasty dishes as a whole, accompanied by Piadina. We then moved on to the second course, choosing 1 plate of Gnocchetti with white rabbit ragù flavored with rosemary, 2 plates of Tagliata with pit and caramelized shallots (accompanied by 1 portion of baked potatoes and 1 portion of wild herbs) and finally 1 dish Lamb drumsticks with grilled fingers and baked potatoes. In this case more than satisfactory portions. To drink, we ordered 1 medium beer, 1 glass of Sangiovese and 3 bottles of water. To close 3 Desserts and 1 Coffee. Final bill equal to Euro 180.00. = which overall, taking into account the quality and quantity of the dishes, is higher than the average of the other farmhouses in the area, probably due to the cover and the panoramic view. Overall, IL CASTELLARO DI BORGHI is a decent restaurant that offers a wonderful view in the summer (for those who find a seat on the veranda), while in terms of cuisine it focuses on refinement to the detriment of the classic Romagna opulence.
