Locanda Belvedere In Rocchetta a volturno

Immersed in the greenery of the Abruzzo, Molise and Lazio national park, in the province of Isernia, the beautiful farmhouse welcomes its guests with affability and great availability. We stayed two nights in a double room, basic but nice. The do-it-yourself breakfast is rich and complete. We had dinner for two evenings tasting Chef Stefano's delights. Refined and tasty dishes created with attention to tradition and local products. The young staff is also very kind and knowledgeable, so much so that we wanted to leave a dedicated tip for them in addition to paying our share.

Premetto di aver anche soggiornato con mia moglie per due notti, in una stanza semplice, calda e pulita ed è stato molto comodo dopo le cene. Se potessi dare sei stelle alla ristorazione le darei sicuramente. Ho cenato per due volte consecutive ed in entrambi i casi siamo stati ben serviti ed informati sui piatti, tutti - nessuno escluso - eccellenti. Prezzo in entrambi i casi corretto. Il locale è quello classico di un Hotel Ristorante, mentre il titolare è uno chef molto attento la cui cucina è segnalata dalle guide e - devo dire - a ragione. La prima sera mia moglie prende - dopo il pre antipasto offerto dalla casa - una minestra di ceci e io un antipasto di salumi di cervo, oca e cinghiale. Poi prendiamo un filetto di manzo premiato di recente in qualche trasmissione televisiva, veramente tenerissimo ed eccellente. A parte, una insalata con funghi porcini, parmigiano e rucola con sopra una specie di peschino, una piccola pesca, dal sapore spettacolare che prepara una signora soltanto in zona e non è commercializzata. Da bere un rose’ Tintilia di 15 gradi. Si finisce con una torta di ricotta e pere e io con un profitterol buonissimo, con una genziana quale amaro. La seconda sera non è da meno: fiocchetti di bresaola ripieni di caprino, tagliata ai funghi e tartufo, bruschetta di farro con lardo e frutti di bosco e via dicendo… Tintilia del Molise rosso per l’accompagno… Insomma, non è certo il primo ristorante in cui vado, ma sicuramente è uno dei migliori in cui sia stato.

I love pleasant places, away from the crowds, away from people who are afraid of loneliness. If you then combine this with good food, the education of those who welcome you and honest prices... you've hit the jackpot. A place to recommend and to return to.

The inn is characterized by an extensive menu which, although simple, the dishes are cooked with passion and research in food combinations. Friendly staff and welcoming location.

Ten Ten is the number for this end of the year 2024. In fact, it's been ten years, and I mean ten, that we've traveled over 300 km to spend December 31st in this wonderful place with the aim of delighting our palate by enjoying chef Stefano Rufo's delicacies. There are ten courses that you see listed on the menu. The rating this place deserves is ten: 10 for the dishes, 10 for the service, 10 for the hospitality, 10 for punctuality, 10 for the entertainment of the "Odd Couple", 10 for the family atmosphere that create every time. In short, ten in total. This year too we tasted the courses expertly paired with excellent wines chosen for the individual courses. At midnight each table had its own bottle of sparkling wine to uncork together. In short, an excellent way to combine fun and excellent cuisine. In the photos you can see the menu and the excellent dishes for the palate and expertly presented. All we have to do is say thank you to those who, sacrificing their holidays, make their work fun for others. See you next year Chef Rufo.

Dieci Dieci è il numero di questo fine anno 2024. Infatti, sono dieci anni, e dico dieci, che ci facciamo oltre 300 km per trascorrere il 31 dicembre in questo stupendo posto con lo scopo di deliziare il nostro palato gustando le prelibatezze dello chef Stefano Rufo. Sono dieci le portate che vedete elencate nel menù. E’ dieci il voto che merita questo locale: 10 per le pietanze, 10 per il servizio, 10 per l’ospitalità, 10 per la puntualità, 10 per l’intrattenimento della “Strana Coppia”, 10 per l’ambiente familiare che si crea ogni volta. Insomma dieci in tutto. Anche quest’anno abbiamo degustato le portate sapientemente abbinate con degli ottimi vini scelti per le singole portate. A mezzanotte ogni tavolo ha avuto la sua bottiglia di spumante da stappare tutti insieme. Insomma un modo eccellente di coniugare divertimento e ottima cucina. Nelle foto potete vedere il menù ed i piatti eccellenti per il palato e sapientemente presentati. Non ci resta che dire un grazie a coloro che, sacrificando le loro festività, fanno del loro lavoro il divertimento per gli altri. Al prossimo anno Chef Rufo.

A simply wonderful experience! We spent a fantastic Christmas in a warm and welcoming atmosphere accompanied by equally spectacular Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas lunch!!! We stayed 2 nights and the room was equipped with all comforts! The staff were kind and friendly! We will definitely be back! My daughter and I felt at home!
