A classic trattoria in the Reggio Emilia Apennines... in some ways still stuck in the past, but I think that's its strength. Family-run, friendly, and VERY fast service. The portions are VERY generous, and the price is fair for what you get.
I'll finish with the quality: excellent.
You absolutely must try the cappellacci with wild boar ragù or the game.
The only downside: it takes a while to get here, so be patient.
RESERVATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL; they're never full!

You always leave your heart at this restaurant...the food evokes an emotion of unique flavors...it's a perfect place for a peaceful lunch or dinner. During the warmer months, there are wooden gazebos where you can eat outside, as well as a garden...it's also ideal for ceremonies. We had our wedding there years ago, and over the years, the aesthetics and space have improved, but the food has never changed, always perfect, and the prices are very reasonable.
I'm adding today, February 23rd...I'm adding photos of the tortelli that I didn't like last time. Today I had the quatris of tortelli with mushroom and ragù sauce. The ragù was divine, perfect for mopping up the sauce. For dessert, I always make a mix of small pieces, and there was the apple pie...I even took it home to my grandfather, the cream and the apples were super.
