Chose this restaurant on our first evening in Rome based on recommendations by our host and because it was around the corner where we stayed. Wonderful atmosphere sitting outside with crisp tablecloths and the place all lit up romantically. Food was well presented and tasted very good. It was evident that this a family run business with many Italian patrons amongst the tourists. Highly recommend!

The pizza was good, but I was a bit disappointed with the amatriciana: it needed more pepper and some pieces of bacon were even raw.

Nothing special, nothing special. The food is good, but nothing exceptional. The starters and desserts aren't particularly outstanding. There are better restaurants in Rome and in the same neighborhood. The service is impeccable, and the waiters are friendly and attentive.

Very good service, delicious food. You can tell everything is homemade. 100% recommended. Keep in mind that they charge a 15% service fee, but it's absolutely worth it.

Si vous chercher avant ou après avoir visité le Vatican, promenez-vous jusqu'à l'Isola della Pizza situé non loin et où vous serez bien reçu. C'est par hazard que nous avons trouvé ce restaurant romain typique dans lequel nous avons très bien mangé pour un prix tout à fait démocratique. Et si vous aimez le vin, profitez en pour déguster le Frascati, un très bon vin blanc du Lazio.

13/07/2025: First course: linguine allo scoglio, very well made and delicious. The appetizer was good, but I had a small complaint about the octopus and potato salad (too much celery and not enough octopus and potatoes). The service was excellent, with very friendly waiters, especially the owner's son, who offered us a delicious shortino (a pasta dish made with licorice and herbs) (not at all heavy or light). The atmosphere was great.
12/07/2025: Excellent traditional Roman dishes. A welcoming, family atmosphere! Fast, friendly staff! I recommend it for an evening of good food and good company.

03/08/2025: A simple and elegant place without being pretentious, with knowledgeable and very friendly staff and delicious food: an excellent choice for experiencing Roman cuisine with some truly interesting twists. I definitely recommend it to Romans and non-Romans alike.
26/07/2025: Great food, not so for the service. Greeting was terrible — we were asked four times if we did look at the menu, before we could take our seats in a 3/4 empty restaurant. Some inflexible protocol which shows a total lack of attention to clientele. Priority towards a stereotype of fine dining standards or heavy biais towards a certain type of tourists. The interaction with the staff reminded me of the movie The Menu. What a pity because the wine and food are excellent.
