Beautiful rooms, amazing service and staff. 10 min from Vatican City. 15-20 min from most of the attractions.

This could have been the best hotel in Rome: a great location, a beautiful pool, an anniversary gift in the room, Italian cuisine… but!
We were greeted at the entrance by a porter who was vaping. One of the restaurants was closed for a private event, and the one where we had lunch felt somewhat neglected. The room was very dark, and at night we had to call reception because the air conditioner couldn’t be turned off—it was blowing so hard that my nose froze.
Breakfast was very average, and interestingly, any egg dishes (other than the scrambled eggs on the buffet, which I couldn’t eat) as well as porridge were available only for an extra charge. The buffet itself was quite basic. Yogurt was only cow’s milk-based, and the desserts weren’t great. I haven’t been this disappointed in a long time.
On the positive side, I want to highlight the breakfast service staff, the spa team, and the excellent coffee.
But the most unpleasant surprise came at checkout: a 5% tip was added to the total bill without any prior notice. At first glance, you wouldn’t even realize it was there. We always ask for a breakdown, and these 5% really surprised us. They were, of course, removed immediately, but the bad taste remained.
I think that with the prices charged for food in the hotel—food that, frankly, doesn’t meet 5-star standards—it’s inappropriate to add an extra percentage without informing guests.
In the end, you’re left with a strange impression: a stunning place with all the potential to be a top-tier experience, but due to staff errors or hotel policies, it fails to truly delight.

Nice resort and grounds, room was very small, not much room for suitcases and lights were confusing

A beautiful hotel located relatively centrally but very, very quiet. The rooms are decorated and maintained to a very high standard.

Overall this is a good hotel but for the price you pay, it should be better. We stayed late May 2025.
- Hotel is spacious and well maintained
- Rooms are decent size by European standards and high quality
- Breakfast is what you’d expect from a hotel with a moderate number of guests. Staff are attentive.
- Pool is nice size and relatively quiet. Water temperature is too cold. Pool service is poor and pool side bar is closed / not staffed. WiFi doesn’t reach pool.
- Bar looks nice but seems to be constantly closed or at least unstaffed.
- On our first night, our room lost power. After about an hour we were offered another room but the situation was not well managed.

A wonderful hotel, an oasis in the middle of Rome. A former convent that's now a luxury hotel with a pool. Overall, everything was great.
1) Luxurious pool
2) Spacious and comfortable room
3) Dream beds
4) Delicious breakfast
BUT
1) Pedestrian access is a bit awkward. It's designed for car/taxi access.
2) At breakfast, if you order poached eggs or something like that, they charge you a lot.
3) There's also a strange thing about charging extra to use the best sun loungers, etc., but no one tells you about it; it's incredibly odd.
4) The rooms are tacky.
There are no good views of the city unless you get the top-of-the-range rooms.

Not a 5 star hotel, uncomfortable beds, climate centrally controlled make your night miserable, every night my wife called to gently ask for lower the temperature and they didn’t do it,my reservation was for 4 persons and the personal beds added to accommodate my kids was horrible. The design for the room has a lot of mistakes , not a 5 star hotel. For the money you spend on this hotel you can get better accommodation in Rome.Restaurant and Bar overpriced, only two restaurants one informal and one formal, only one bar.
Staff very friendly and attentive.

Fantastic accommodations just a 15 minutes walk to the Vatican and other Rome destinations. Tucked away on a small hill away from the craziness of the tourist hubs, the Villa Aggripina provides luxurious accommodations and unparalleled service. They were able to provide my 84 year old mother with a wheel chair so that she could get around. They bent over backwards to ensure our 18 month old granddaughter was taken care of as well. The concierge took care of every detail regarding transportation to and from the airport, they got us reservations for a group of 20 for a celebratory dinner, and they helped arrange several tours that were accommodating to mobility challenged individuals. The rooms were fantastic with lots of room and comfortable beds. The onsite breakfast is a feast and the casual restaurant for lunch and dinner offers a decent assortment of options. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Rome.
