Historic beach that should be renovated

A historic beach resort for Lecce residents, conveniently located just a stone's throw from the city (about 12-15 minutes by car). The beach is well-equipped with a very wide stretch of beach. Here you'll find rustici (typical restaurants) that I'm not afraid to call among the best in Salento, and which have managed to retain the same flavor I enjoyed as a child in the 1980s, and I say this as a true Lecce native. If you have the time to choose, come on days with a southerly wind, especially a southeasterly one (scirocco): you'll find a sea that I dare say is "Caribbean-like," while on the contrary, with a northerly wind, you'll have a rough sea.

In addition to the well-maintained location, it offers a variety of truly excellent services. The bar and kitchen also offer excellent, yet simple, culinary experiences that showcase Salento's tradition in all its quality. Excellent

Beautiful set up....lovely sunbeds and food served in the restaurant all day

The beach is probably not cleaned, the sea has washed up a lot of plastic which lies on the sand.
