Place of the heart in Padua. Books that are also hard to find, second-hand deals, a beautiful atmosphere where you can also play board games. The food is no different, especially the desserts are excellent!

Very nice environment. As the name suggests, it is a tavern with a selection of cicchetti, meatballs and the presence of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to have an aperitif with friends immersed in a multitude of books, which can be purchased. Recommended for a "cultural" aperitif

What can I say? I love this slightly bohemian and anarchic atmosphere. I discovered LibrOsteria at the presentation of a book, by chance. And, I've been back often...I sit, read, study, observe, listen. The music caresses and does not overwhelm. The food is good. The owners: day and night, the volcano and water. The cultural initiatives are numerous and Marianna has a vast knowledge in the literary field which she dispenses, apparently in a casual way, generously, like a consummate actress, capturing the attention of onlookers. Don't fail to meet some faces from the world of theater and literature. I love feeling at home... at their home, because the noises and voices bring to mind the image of a living room where you meet and return because you feel good there.

25/07/2025: Delicatessen, peaceful, café... This place may be hard to define, but that's how we like it! Everything is strictly vegetarian and vegan, but even carnivores like my boyfriend and I find delicious options. You can stop for a coffee or a full lunch. The place is very pleasant, usually quiet, and very clean. The staff is courteous and friendly. There's a small parking lot in front (or at least nearby), which in the summer becomes a partial patio with outdoor seating. We'd love to find more croissants for breakfast; if you arrive a little later, they're often sold out... *** After so many years, I reiterate what I wrote above, but I'm disappointed and concerned about the progressive reduction in opening hours... Right now, looking at Google hours, you're open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 am to 3 pm (that's just 4.5 hours... basically your lunch break), closed on Fridays, and only open in the evenings on Saturdays... Since I don't work nearby, this means I'm really struggling to get to your place now... and on weekends, I used to happily get something to go for lunch, but now that doesn't seem to be an option anymore... I hope everything can return to more or less the way it was before soon... *** I stopped by and saw that they're looking for someone to take over the business. :( You were a go-to place for me for vegetarian and vegan cuisine, it'll be hard to find someone who can be that way.... Thank you for these years together. *** In reply to this message: unfortunately, it's true that cappuccino and brioche are addictive, but I've always loved your desserts, and in the end, I might even leave the brioche behind and eat those! ;) Good luck with everything; if you reopen elsewhere, I hope you'll be available to me every now and then.

Trattoria Alla Nave

28/05/2025: Dopo parecchi anni torno a cenare alla Trattoria alla Nave. Trovo diversi cambiamenti nella disposizione dell'arredamento e trovo, altresì, anche cambiamenti a livello gestionale. Sono sorpreso dal personale che recita a memoria l'intero menù. I piatti non sono eccelsi ma raccolgono una più che soddisfacente valutazione.
09/04/2025: Se non avessi letto le recensioni eccellenti, probabilmente non lo avrei considerato: dall'esterno è quasi impercettibile, complice l'insegna ormai scolorita dal tempo. Eppure, si è rivelato una piacevole sorpresa grazie all'accogliente atmosfera anni '80, al servizio rapido e, soprattutto, alla qualità dei piatti. Se ce ne sarà l'opportunità, ci torneremo senza dubbio..
